We booked the venue almost immediately. Got my dress at Bridal Bells and just booked David Apuzzo for photography. Working on our DJ next. Probably just going to vistaprint the invitations. Booked our honeymoon today!

All the big things are taken care of - Vendor, photographer, DJ, Dress is bought, Bridesmaids dresses picked, invites already purchased and save the dates! Just trying to enjoy the ride!

Date of wedding and location of reception (include city!): 2/14/15-Tarrywile Mansion, Danbury

How far are you in the planning process? Any tips about vendors or the planning process you can share? Just booked the venue this week, we are doing a self catered dessert reception so we are working on figuring out how much of everything we will need, plan on getting my dress and bridesmaid dresses this spring/early summer! I absolutely love the people at Tarrywile, if you get the opportunity to go with a smaller place who will actually know who you are and work with you, it will pay off, they are lowering their price and giving us a ton of extra time to set up, and we've only met them twice!

Tarrywile is great, we almost chose it as our venue!

How far are you in the planning process? Any tips about vendors or the planning process you can share? We got engaged on Christmas 2013, I have the venue, DJ and photographer booked, florist in mind, hotel rooms blocked, save the dates out, registries almost complete & dress PURCHASED! And this weekend we are going bridesmaid dress shopping Next up is Justice of the Peace, Rehearsal Dinner location, my shoes & mother of the bride dress shopping with my mom!

Advice…? I stressed myself out beyond belief in the first few weeks (and as a result stressed out my fiance) since our engagement and the holidays wrapped into one big party (not a bag thing!) but, I couldn't start planning as soon as I wanted to, so now I've taken a deep breath and made myself a timeline of what needs to be done in each month leading up to the wedding. I've taken care of most of the tasks, but involve my fiance when a big decision needs to be made. I am always looking for DIY tips and interesting ideas so we can add a little bit of our personality as a couple to the wedding as well.

How far are you in the planning process? Any tips about vendors or the planning process you can share? We decided on our venue this weekend, waiting to hear back from the event coordinator for available dates, then we can get our caterer out of the way. I've done some dress shopping, and have another appointment tonight - I think it will be much easier now that I know where we'll be having it - we were originally considering a smaller venue in Newport, and all the dresses I tried on seemed too formal, but now I can picture things better
