ideas for a location for bridal shower....

I know as the Bride I'm not supposed to be planning my own bridal shower but I'm trying to help my mother and grandmother comes up with some different ideas for a location to use for the shower. Does anyone have any suggestions? Our wedding is in June and the shower will probably be in April or May.

    In my experience, bridal showers are usually held at the home of the hostess (or one of them, at least). If that isn't an option, maybe you could look into having it at a favourite coffee shop, tea house, or restaurant? I know that's quite popular here, especially in the cities where no one has the space to host events in their homes.

    I've been to or hosted them at- home indoors, home outdoors with pop up tents, restaurant, church hall, community center (my grandparents live in a 55+ neighborhood of condos and they have a big hall they let anyone use as long as they clean after themselves).

    All the showers I've attended have either been at someone's house or a restaurant.

    My future mother in law is hosting one at a church and my sister is hosting one at a tea shop.

    We're having mine at my parent's house. We tried to have it at a restaurant. But they were all either booked or wanted $50 a head.

    Restaurant, hostess' house or backyard, golf club, coffee place, a hall, or a historic site (ie. old mansion).

    My mum is hosting mine at their house.

    I agree with a small restaurant, tea house, etc. If you expect a LOT of people, you can usually rent out a room somewhere, or book a hall.
