I'm a Mrs. Wedding Recap PIP

I've always lived for the recaps on this board. So I promised myself that as soon as I had the time I was coming back to post my recap.

Thursday Night,
We had the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner, it went without a hitch. The groom was super surprised by his Cleveland Browns football cake.

The bridesmaids (as bad as they got on my nerves) all loved their Dolce and Gabanna purses. Initially, I was going to get a hotel room to be away from my sweetie, but I decided against it. The money wasn't as free-flowing as I hoped it would be. So we stayed together the night before.

Friday Morning *Wedding Day*

We woke up at 5 am. We spent about an hour just talking about the day and we prayed together. That moment was really awesome and I was glad that I actually stayed, just for that moment alone. I was going to get up to print the pics for the memorial table and to get to the hair dresser. My bridesmaid offered to drive me around as "Brides shouldn't drive on their wedding day."
Worst mistake ever.
Everything else turned into a comedy of errors. She was late that made everything else late. My hairdresser totally ticked me off, I hated my hair, but it was too late act like a bridezilla, so I made due with it. I won't bore you with the list of what didn't get done.

About an hour after I planned to, I arrived at the venue. The photographer was there and she had already taken all the pics that she could take. So I didn't get a chance to take all of the bridesmaid pics that I wanted to take. But she got GREAT details pics

Before I got dressed I had a minister friend come out and say a prayer with me to calm my nerves.

After getting ready, it was time for the show to start. As I was waiting in the brides room, my Daddy came down the hall and saw me for the first time all made up. He cried. I slammed the door because I didn't want to cry and seeing him cry was going to guarantee that I would have cried the fake lashes right off of my face. We waited and it was time for my big entrance. Everything went so fast after that.

Some of the ceremony highlights includes not being able to get the ring on my Hubby's finger. (He has a knot on his knuckle from an old football injury.)

Stumbling over the word "submit". They will never let me live that down.
And the part in my vows, where I promised to "watch countless hours of NFL programming."

The reception was great. The DJ wasn't the greatest, but it was an old friend of the DH. She messed up our intro, we were supposed to come in to "Lift Off" by Kayne West, Jay -Z and Beyonce. But she introduced us to the song that the wedding party came into. DH was so excited he wasn't even paying attention and danced all the way to his seat. The one thing that I wish we would have gotten a picture of is DH started break dancing, I mean straight old-school 1989, Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo, dancing, complete with a two handed freeze move at the end. He has a spinal injury and danced as if he was 19 years old. Someone has that pic, and I am trying desparately to find it.

I almost had to drag him out of the venue, but we finally left after it was all over and did what it is married folks do. LOL.

All in all, it was great. I noticed the things that didn't happen the way I wanted the too. But the Hubby was happy and that made me happy, so that's all that really mattered.

Some more pics of the day: I'm trying to figure out how to set up an account where I can share all of the pics.
