I liked that the first itch-bay used the word "clencher" where it would appear she meant "clincher." I'm just picturing her squeezing her buttcheeks in agony over her guests not favorably responding to her rudeness.
I think the first comment about the adult only reception was what rubbed me the wrong way. "That's a ton of kids for one set of parents to control at a wedding."
FFS the parents have four kids that they supervise and care for daily; I highly doubt that a wedding makes them forget how to parent.
I just can't with that site. There is too much dumb. And not even the kind where someone just had a brain fart and will return to their senses, the kind where you try to get through a thick skull only to realize there is nothing rattling around in there so its all pointless.
I don't understand what is so friggin hard about going "This is my budget. It is a finite amount of money. I will treat it like a finite amount of money and budget so I don't friggin RUN OUT." or "It's my wedding and I can put on my big girl pants and plan it on my own. Planning will be as simple or difficult as I make it, so if I want to do stuff that is a pain in the ass, then I will have to deal with that pain in the ass."
But noooooooo, everyone else should hold my hand and coddle me through the whole thing because it's my special dayyyyy and I can't handle anything on my own wahhhhhhh…..

Far too many brides on the All Waffle Diet.
Fuck that noise.

First off... Wow. Second I have a question. I notice that a lot of times people who aren't having kids at their wedding and complain about people who decline because of it always say something along the lines of "you'd think they'd want an excuse to get a break from their kids". Why do these people assume that these parents would want to be away from their kids?

Or even that they declined because of the kids. Maybe they couldn't get a sitter who knows how to handle a kid with Down's. Or maybe they're flying back from Aruba that night. Or maybe they hate your face because you're rude. Who cares? They don't owe you an explanation!

Exactly! Or maybe they do want a break from the kids but don't want to waste their one kid free night at your wedding!

People are assholes, that's the short answer.
FI has a cousin who always comments about how she wishes she had more time away from her daughter - usually in the context of telling me how lucky I am that I split custody 50/50 with my XH. She is an asshole. It crushes me when my DD is with her dad, even though I know it's good for her and for him. But I don't relish it, and I don't feel "lucky" to miss half of her childhood.
"FH told people that bringing their kids was okay and i was PISSED.
especially when one of the kids kept coming up to our sweetheart table
and just staring us. PLEASE GO AWAY."
Seriously? IT'S A KID for crying out loud! Don't want to be stared at? Don't want to be the center of attention? Don't have a sweetheart table.

"I DO NOT want kids at my reception or wedding if I can help it only because I don't want someone's kids to be crying on a video as my bridal party and I are trying to get out strut on taking my spotlight "
Yes, because your entire wedding will be ruined and invalid if a kid happens to cry while you are 'gettin' your strut on'.
Oh yeah. WAAAHHHH I'm upset my wedding is not the #1 important event of the year to everyone else. I claim to know this would not be the case, but it's still so UNFAAAAIIIRRRR.
Here's a thought: if you have too many decorations to do by yourself, maybe you should scale back on your decorations. If you need constant hand-holding to plan a wedding, maybe you should hire someone who does that for a living instead of driving your bridesmaids crazy.
Did the bride in the first post seriously say "he better get right, or get left" ??? Basically this is a deal breaker for her and her fiance if he doesn't fix it??

Oh no! We're going to have several very young children at our wedding. The chances of one of them not crying during the whole ceremony and reception is 0%. I know this. One of the kids is going to be 4-5 months old. During the cocktail hour, I'm going straight to the 4-5month old so I can meet him and hopefully hold him!! (I haven't met him yet--the family lives in a different state, so this is the first time many of us will get to meet the little guy and give our congrats to the new parents). I guess my marriage will be invalid because there will be kids crying at some point during our ceremony/reception (at the same place, right after one another)...
Also, is she doing a bridal party dance? I was forced into one (we didn't learn a dance--but it was sprung upon us, and by us, I mean me. I think the other two bridesmaids knew about it and thought "OMG, the bride's sister is going to love being made to dance to Cotton Eye Joe! Especially since she won't be prepared for it!"), and I was NOT happy about it. If I wanted to be on the dance floor, I would have been. The bride made us wear goofy tiaras and sunglasses and weird crap like that. After that, when I saw someone looking for me, I ran to the bathroom. I don't want to sound like a bad bridesmaid or anything--but after being on my feet for 12+ hours at that point, and being treated horribly by the bride, all I wanted was to sit and talk to family members I have not seen in years.

I haven't gone to try to read the WW posts yet but your post totally made me think of Peter Griffin from Family Guy.
Oh dear O.O I'm going to ha e a 2 month old at my ceremony oh my wedding is ruined! What if this child starts crying while I get my strut on!?!? (Btw said child is mine and I wouldn't get married without her there just like my son he's going to be there or no wedding will happen)

Anyone ever been in or seen The Wiz?

The second one is hidden.
As for the third one, she should have just made that one bridesmaid the MOH. Siriusly.

Not only that, but her BM's all live 700miles away according to her OP.
Yeah, OK. Let me just pop on over and help you make decorations this weekend. Seriously, ppl!!!!!
