Aventura Spa Palace

Has anyone been to this resort in Mexico before?  Or anyone been to a Palace resort in Mexico before?  How'd you like it?  Any complaints?  We are like 99% sure we are booking our honeymoon for this resort!  I'm so excited!

Re: Aventura Spa Palace

  • We go to Palace Resorts every year. We usually go to Sun Palace, but decided to try Beach Palace this year because of the reconstructed beaches in that area of Cancun.

We went to Aventura Spa Palace 2 years ago when the entire resort was all adult. We enjoyed our stay there but prefer the smaller resorts like Sun and Beach. The spa at Aventura is really great. Service was outstanding as with all Palace Resorts.

One thing to keep in mind is that ASP has ocean fed coves with sandy beach area as opposed to a real beach. We have a summer home at the beach so this did not bother us. Actually the coves had nice calm water so you could swim, kayak or snorkel.

Be glad to answer questions if you have any.

  • the beach is absolutely awful compared to other beaches in the area. if that's important go elsewhere. otherwise no complaints-but the beach was a huge dealbreaker for me.

  • I've visited almost all of the Palace Resorts and like all of them Aventura Spa is great. I do like the spa side better for a honeymoon since it is adults only. And the spa is amazing!!!
  • Aventura is a very nice resort with great food and rooms. Like PP said, the beach is not there, but I felt it was pure luxury every moment of the vacation.

    Just replied to your PM.
  • We looked into Aventura Spa Palace for our honeymoon. We actually booked it (FI did), but we booked a room with two  double beds instead of 1 king, and that's what we wanted. I guess there weren't any rooms left at Aventura, so we went to the Sun Palace. We loved the Sun Palace, and the Palace resorts in general. Great service, good food, and it's just beautiful there. The $1500 credit they have going on now is pretty awesome!

We will probably go back, and when we do, we'll go to Aventura. It's more secluded compared to the hotel zone, and I think I'd prefer the cove rather than the "real beach" No one was swimming in the ocean anyway.

The way they run there business is to gain life long customers, they get strong loyalty, and there's a reason for it. We had an amazing time!

A plus for going to a resort on the ocean though for us was the sea turtles. We went in September when the turtles are hatching. The hotels collect the eggs when they are laid, and so they had turtles to release every night we were there. It was a wonderful experience!
