Las Vegas Wedding Dress Shops

Going to Vegas at the end of this month to plan my 2015 wedding. Hopefully also going to look for a dress there. Definitely looking for something unique and "vegas" and good dress shops or bridal shops ya'll know about there? Doesn't even have to be a bridal dress, just something with the WOW factor. Thanks for your help!

Re: Las Vegas Wedding Dress Shops

  • The most convenient place is the Rent-a-Dress shop on Maryland Pkwy near Flamingo. I went to Bowties Bridal (http://bowtiesbridal.com/) to check some dresses out, and they were pretty nice and helpful. There's also a bridal consignment shop around, but I forgot the name.
  • I'll give a second vote for Bowties Bridal. I've also heard people recommend Celebrations Bridal. There's also David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo.

  • There is also Jennaleigh bridal http://www.jlbridal.com/bridal.html

I didn't rent my dress from them but they did steam and press my dress wonderfully.

  • I got my dress at Celebrations (on Jones), and have been super happy with them so far- I pick up my dress this Saturday and I'll update if everything is anything less than perfect.  Just be sure to make an appointment and if it is a Saturday earlier is better b/c it's prom dress season too and the store is less crowded before teenagers wake up ;)

I tried on at Alfred's and David's as well, and I do not recommend DB unless your budget is in the 300-600 range since they're one of the few that carry in that price point.  They have such strong daily sales goals that it is the only place I felt pressured to make a decision that day, both Alfred's and Celebrations were more about finding the "it" dress than getting you to commit to one the first day.  I've been to Bowties with a friend for her wedding and they seemed good too, although she ended up getting her dress from Celebrations as well.

There is also a Rent the Runway in the Cosmopolitan now.  They don't have the big traditional wedding dresses but there are a lot of nice white and ivory ones in their bridal section.
  • None of these websites lets tou browse online in advance if you are renting though right? I ended up going with a Badgley Mischka formal gown rather than a traditional bridal dress, but hey...I might change my mind. Lol!

Just throwing this out there as no one else has yet, but if you want the wow factor and like to support local shops instead of big names, Mina Olive is a Las Vegas based designer who has incredible dresses. She designs the gown with you, but also has off the rack dresses, all created by her. It's worth while just to make an appointment to go see her shop and talk about dresses with her, to be honest. Couture small wedding gown shops are hard to find these days and it's a nice experience. www.minaolive.com

Also, Rent the Runway lets you browse if you are renting. They have some great options, actually. I believe you can also ship to their Cosmo shop and pick it up, but they will certainly ship to your hotel room as well.

  • Loved the idea of a custom design from Mina Olive. I met the designer at a bridal show and she was super nice and open to a very unusual design. The only problem was the quote was $5k. That was just a little out of my budget. <sigh>

Yeah, I agree. The budget is a tough workaround. :(

  • Just wanted to update, I picked up my dress on Saturday from Celebrations and everything was perfect, they even steamed my (borrowed) veil for free while bagging up my dress.  And the bag was pink, so IF I'd taken it home FI still wouldn't see the dress without sneaking (but I'm keeping it at my mom's, just in case he gets curious).
