today is my Monday... I've been on leave since Thursday at 2:45. it definitely feels like a Monday.

I have to take apart parts of my system to try to figure out where stuff is condensing out into my tubes. The problem is these tubes are already in the heating mantle, so I have no idea how to keep them warm. Research lately = perpetually Monday.

Nothing much going on today, just chugging away at work here, I had FI take pictures of some DIY invites that I bought that I don't really feel like putting together, so hopefully I can sell them on the Wedding Classified board here. If not, no big deal.

OH! Last night I ordered a plain veil that cost me 14.99 with shipping. I bought some Swarovski crystals and I'm going to add the crystals to the veil throughout really random and nothing too crazy. I can't wait to see how it turns out!! Hopefully it'll look like this:

When I get home tonight I'll workout and then fold some laundry (my least favorite chore) and clean the bathroom a little bit.

@buddysmom80 - we had a fabulous weekend!!! as soon as I walked into work, however, my heart started beating all crazy and I just felt so ANXIOUS. I can't wait until I'm out of here. the whole weekend I felt like a normal person.

let's see, on Friday we slept in and then went to the Medieval Fair. we watched some acrobats that were really awesome. we walked over to the university's art museum and spent at least 2 hours there, then walked over to eat some great local Mexican food and get coffee and a cookie at the bakery down the street. we got a lot of walking in that day!

I took a nap EVERY DAY and it was wonderful. we slept a lot, H got to watch a lot of wrestling while I took extra naps. we spent some time working in the garden and at Home Depot.

yesterday we ran a TON of errands and then had burgers with some friends for lunch. I spent the evening trimming the dogs' fur and cleaning up the house. I cleaned up all my winter clothes/boots and packed them up in the top of the closet, and got out all my warmer weather stuff and sorted through my sandals/wedges. it is amazing how much room bulky winter clothes take up! our closet looks practically empty now because our big winter clothes are packed away.

it did rain and was chilly the whole weekend, but it wasn't too bad since I layered my clothes.

basically, we didn't do anything terribly exciting (except ate out a TON, so NO COOKING!) but it was a wonderful long weekend.

FI's back to work today after coming down with a serious stomach flu Saturday night. Like vomiting out of his nose even stomach flu. EW! Really glad he's back up and feeling better. Going to go see him tomorrow night.

I'm off to my alma mater tonight since one of my old professors gathered a group of alumni to speak to her English capstone class. That should be fun and I get out of work early for it.

This weekend was a blast beside FI getting sick. I'm officially riding a new horse (the owner loved me!), saw Captain America with FI before he got sick and just hung out.

Today is kind of like my Monday but not really. I had Jury Duty yesterday (my first one) and I sat all day long at the courthouse from 8:00a.m. until 5:30!

It was a murder case so it was kind of interesting to hear about it but I didn't get selected for the jury because I was in the very last group to be questioned. Oh well.

Today I need to workout since I ate all the junk food this past weekend while we were camping. I feel good to be back at work. It has been a crazy past couple of days so it's good to have a normal day.

@CocoBellaF That sounds like a wonderful weekend! I'm so ready to put away all of my jackets for the year...but our temperature here in Georgia keeps forgetting that it's April! It's 40 something today...ughhhhhhhhh!!!

Today I have a tasting with a gourmet cookie baker. @southernpeach89 used this vendor for her welcome bags for OOT guests but I'm hiring them to do our favors. They offer so many cute packaging options! I can't wait to meet with them today!

@lmhollister - we do have a cold snap this weekend, but I am DONE with boots. I'll just wear tights and flats or something. I haven't taken our coats to the cleaners yet, so I'll still have that and my scarves. I'll just have to layer up!!

what are you doing gourmet cookies for? obvs your wedding, but for OOT guests or something different?

I'm not having too bad of a Monday-Tuesday. I didn't want to get out of bed, but when I got to the office my coworker had brought in some frames I'd ordered from his wife's Etsy shop! They're super cute...so I printed out some quotes I love and hung them in my new office. We moved offices about 3 weeks ago and now that I have some art up it's finally starting to feel more home-y. Pics!

@CocoBellaF We're using them for wedding favors at the reception. We're probably going to go with two different packages. Like half of the boxes will be filled with two cookie varieties and the other half will be filled with two Southern pecan pie bars (YUM!). The idea being that if a couple comes together, they'll each get something different rather than the same thing. They'll be packaged kind of like this:

That's what I'm picturing in my head anyway.

@southernpeach89 I loooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeedddddd the raspberry chocolate cookie! It was the best! The turtle one with the almond on top and the caramel was amazing too!

@TwoDimes The year I graduated, I applied to a job at the end of April. Heard back right at the beginning of May and interviewed on May 5th. Got the offer on the 12th. Graduated on the 17th. Obviously, it would have been nice to get an offer sooner, but if your boyfriend doesn't yet have a job, that doesn't mean he's screwed. Fingers crossed!

I went to the Sox game last night, and we got our first home win! It was also David Ortiz Bobblehead Night, so now I have a bobblehead of Papi doing his home run point and wearing some cool shades. My friend and I spent the whole night gabbing, but since we're both progressive liberal feminist ladiez, a lot of the conversations were like ... not typical ballpark stuff. I think it annoyed the older gentlemen behind us, as well as the nice family of four sitting next to us. OH WELL. It was a blast.

Now I'm at work, extremely tired, planning out what I need to get done.

@CocoBellaF Edible favors ARE the best! FI and I still have like 6 mini-jars of honey from @southern's wedding hiding in our pantry. We may or may not have smuggled a bunch of leftovers. I'm sure the same will happen to our cookies since we'll leave almost immediately for our HM. Maybe I can pack leftovers in my carry-on for the plane ride.

@TwoDimes I'm sure it will work out! Some employers have a funky hiring schedule and they seriously wait until the last minute to make decisions. I feel like that happened to FI. He was unemployed for about two weeks after graduation before his current employer finally came to him with his official offer and basically said "We need you to start right now!".

@allusive007 I love those frames! I would be changing pictures all the time though. My office looks like a prison cell. I've been here for almost 3 years and the higher-ups keep telling me they're moving my office, but nothing yet. I just have framed pictures of my pets, family and a few friends. The person who was in this office before had so many decorations it was too much!

@lmhollister your favor idea is really nice! We're doing cookies too (maybe) we'll see how much it is when we meet with our baker.

Today is yucky. I'm still exhausted from this weekend's events. And it's rainy and gloomy today so it makes it even worse. I didn't get out of bed until 7:45 this morning. The girls really liked sleeping in, but it was a rush to get out the door on time! One of the best things I've heard today is that soccer practice is cancelled today, so at least we can go home and have a night in.

I'm exhausted.... I tried staying up to watch the NCAA finals, and I just couldn't do it. I'm over today... I spent over an hr on the phone last night with my sister, which, is a miracle in itself. I think she is finally at the point where she is over my moms bullshit as well, and she needed someone to talk to, but it's difficult for her to reach out, so I'm glad my gut said to call her. I miss that little asshole.... I think she may have reached a point where she is over my mom enough and feels so out of place that when she comes down to visit the grand units for the summer, I think this time she will stay. Which would be phenomenal! Lots of things are going on in my life at the moment, and I'm just trying to figure out how to balance it all, and how to handle it all.

@lmhollister I totally made my own cookies for our favors lol. Granted we only have 91 guests, so I made just over 200 cookies (2 each, plus extras for me duh). They're currently just hanging out in our way overcrowded freezer right now. They come out tomorrow when we start our road trip up to the wedding!

I'm super excited today because a) I'm all caught up with my grading before leaving for our wedding and b) I was SO GOOD at band today - my lip is coming back and it's exciting, even though I'm not going to play for almost two weeks due to the wedding so I might lose a little of it.

Now I'm watching SVU and Criminal Minds until FI gets home haha - I have office hours at 5 today, so I'm not totally slacking the day before we leave, right? Oh yea, and I'm doing laundry

@phira I was always convinced our dark room was haunted. When doing exposures, I would like lean against the wall and make sure nothing was behind me. Or I would hum/sing to myself. I probably looked/sounded like a crazy person. I DON'T LIKE THE DARK. Here's to good exposures for you!!!!

Also, guys, my wisdom tooth is coming in. I'm convinced it's going to break the gum on my wedding day. Because who WOULDN'T want more wisdom on the day of her wedding? <--For those dental professionals, you're supposed to get your wisdom teeth at like 21 apparently? If you don't get em taken out by then. I turn 29 in less than a month. This is what we call 'developmentally delayed teeth" Here's to hoping my teeth behave themselves so I can keep them forever.

@Ollie08 and @Blue, I love Criminal Minds! But I will never understand the appeal of Law & Order, lol - it just seems too dark in a way that Criminal Minds just doesn't. Also, Shemar Moore probably cheers me up considerably.

Today is a good day! For starters, it's mah birfday! I have been feeling the love all day from family and friends, and I think my family and I will do something to celebrate next week over my spring break.

I started my volunteer gig at a nearby HIV/AIDS clinic and LOVED IT. I am so torn now about what this means for my career in nursing, because I have these two areas where I can see myself being fairly happy and successful. But that's a pretty good problem to have.

ETA: Because I DO know the difference between "your" and "you're"
