I have realized one thing though, there are certainly worse people out there based on these responses so I should count my blessings I don't have people like you all in my life I suppose! Thanks for that! Simple fated however you are right, I did expect her to be different based on the event and she isn't.

OP I hope you can realize that all of these people here are giving you sound advice, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Sometimes the truth hurts. It doesn't mean you should lash out at them in response.

I just want to say, I love having friends like @Maggie0829 in my life. You know, the ones that tell you like it is whether they agree or not? The ones you can count on complete honesty from? I don't want people in my life that do nothing but blow sunshine and rainbows up my skirt. Those types of people aren't real friends, they don't care if you look like a selfish bitch. The people who cosign your bullshit are the same people who are gossiping behind your back "OMG, can you believe what mainiac1020 did this time??"

Well hell I did it wrong.....damn.

My MOH for my wedding last year was my cousin, known her since the day she was born. I got married June 15, 2013 she got married December 15, 2012. I declined her offer of a shower/bach party because not only does she live 6 hours away from me, but she was pregnant at the time. I told her that I didn't want her and her new husband to spend any more money on me above her dress and traveling for the wedding. That is how you treat someone you care about. Kids are expensive especially when you are out of work. I think you need to re-evaluate your priorities. Its YOUR and YOUR FI's wedding, no one elses. No one else is going to be that emotionally involved with your wedding. And when you have a small child you don't stay up until 2am unless they are sick.
