Wedding Woes

Good morning!!

Systems are down.  There's other stuff I can work on, but that's not fun.

I'm looking out at our lawn.  We really should cut the grass tonight.  I guess I'll check the lawnmower at lunch and make sure it starts up.  Good thing I have the kiddo to cut the grass.  ;)

DH has two huge meetings this morning.  One is *the* meeting (offer).  The other one is with his regional director (no idea what he wants, but it sounds like it's a good thing).  And they had a bunch of muckity-mucks (VP's and such) in the plant yesterday and they told his plant manager that they thought highly of DH and DH's boss.  Banner day for him.  :D  I told him that he didn't have to call right away after his meetings if he has work to attend to.  I'd almost rather him tell me tonight, in the privacy of our home so we can have a free and open discussion.

    PURPLE!!!

We had a good anniversary and I'm tired this morning.  I have a bunch of piddly crap to do in the next few days- grocery, clean, bake, cook, go to the liquor store and the bike store and meet someone about selling some stuff.....  Nothing takes long in normal life, but jeebus the kids make it 100 times longer.

  • Conn - Ditto on the lawn stuff (close to needing it mowed, have a kid for that).  But I'm pretty positive our mower won't make it through this summer, if it starts up at all.  Can't really complain about a mower that my grandma gave us (she bought it at an auction) and worked for us for 5 years.  Also sending you the purples.

6 - Glad you had a nice anniversary.

I'm annoyed that my weather channel app shows thunder storms starting in 10 minutes and continuing all morning, while weather.com shows a zero percent chance of rain until 2pm.  Same channel, different info?

That stinks Taw.  We went through 2 fixed up mowers before buying new.  We have a Husqvarna and we love it.  I'd definitely recommend one.

The weather channel app always disagrees with every other weather provider.  I don't get it.
  • DH is in love with this mower:

We won't get it because a $500 mower for our yard is silly and as dickheaded as this sounds, it's a 12 yo operating it, so while the push-button start is appealing to DH, he isn't the one pull-starting the mower we have.  I'm sure we'll go with something much cheaper.
  • Yeah, I think ours was more like $250-300.  Our yard is a postage stamp.  No need for anything high speed or even self-propelled.

Same.  A teeny yard was originally a deal breaker but we changed our minds when we saw this house.  Aside from falling in love with it and the awesome neighborhood/location, we are literally next door to a great park.  It's like having the biggest back yard that you don't have to mow.

    *pops in*

I'm so busy here at work and if I want any chance of meeting H for lunch I need to keep my nose to the grindstone.
