carnation and lily of the valley?

I haven't put much thought into my bouquet because I honestly don't care about flowers. Outside of the bouquets, there won't be any as decoration or centerpieces.
Tonight I was thinking that I could use my two daughters birth month flowers together to form the bouquet. Then I looked at them and they're two completely different looking flowers. Do you think it's possible they could work together still?

Here is a pick of lily of the valley surrounded by what looks like very open white spray roses. You could do the same type of look with carnations/mini carnations in place of the spray roses. I would probably suggest mini carnations because standard carnations may overwhelm the delicate lily of the valley.

I really like the second link that doeydo posted. I think it would be just as pretty with carnations.

Keep in mind - lily of the valley is VERY expensive and VERY delicate. It's also tiny, so you need a lot of stems.
