NWR: I can't believe this!!

So yesterday I came to work only to find out that my assistant manager decided to quit.  She was nice enough to finish out the day with me, but today I am at work all by myself.  She didn't even have the decency to give notice. She emailed our regional managers her resignation letter as she walked out the door.  I took the initiative to call one of my regionals after she left to inform him of her disrepectfulness. So today I've been going through all of the work to make sure everything has been kept updated and of course it's not! So I'm busting my butt to get it all updated and making sure all the procedures have been followed so that if we get audited we're not in hot water.  Grrrr.
I'm hoping with my proactiveness it will show them that I am a candidate to get promoted. If not, at least I'll be earning some good OT pay.  :-)

That sucks, but sounds like a good opportunity for you to step up and make a name for yourself!

Ugh! I agree with Jody, though. Sometimes, great things come out of bad situations...and extra wedding $ can't hurt either! ;)  Good luck!

That sucks.  IMO, it's super tacky to quit without notice.  It's a small world and it's likely you'll run into some of these people again and karma's a b!tch.  And also, why did she quit?  Did she have another job?
