@JCbride2015 The 'I Do' shoe things aren't too bad. I actually think they're cute and would've considered it if I weren't wearing flats. Plus, if its your 'something blue' then its even cuter.

But like @Phira and @Beethery implied, it seems a little possessive and weird. And if BOTH bride and groom have something 'cutesy' on their shoes...no. No.

  • My friend does signs for a living and has recently tapped into the wedding industry.

He told me once that he has to stop himself from gagging from all the cheesy signs brides-to-be ask him to make. He said he specifically hates the "don't pick a side" sign.

Runner-up is "He stole my heart, so I am not stealing his last name..."

    **barf**
I just don't understand these signs. To me, it stops becoming sweet and awww-inducing (if it ever was) the moment everyone starts doing it. Then it's not personal or sentimental, it's viral.

  • I like the "I Do" on the bottom of the shoe. Or the write a special message on the bottom of the shoe (from one half of the couple to the other). Mostly because I used to write on the bottom of my shoes/my friend's shoes. It was a thing. Ok, it wasn't a thing we were just weirdos.

But she's mine? No. She's her own person darling.

We did this too in high school and college. My parents would get so pissed at me for writing all over my shoes. Not sure why I did it.  Back when FI and I were just friends and in the same Biology class in college, I wrote my name on a pair of his Chucks...he still has those Chucks and my name is still on there. Pretty sure his name is written somewhere on mine, and I still wear them.

  • This is just as bad as the wedding cake topper with the bride dragging the groom.

Yeah, we did this too in high school!  I don't know why, exactly, but it was a thing.

Alright so maybe we weren't weirdos and it was a thing. No one else in my high seemed to do it outside of us weird kids, but we were also the ones wearing vans and chucks which were the best to write on. Or draw on. I was usually the drawer. We also did it to our backpacks. Binders. Anything we could get our hands on.

@magicink I should also mention that I was a weird kid in high school...so maybe it was a thing with weird kids and not necessarily ALL high school students...? My Chucks were the shoes that were written on the most. That white toe part is like, PERFECT for writing on!

OMG, it was all about who could collect the most milk pens.  My friend had a BLACK PAPER notebook and only wrote with milk pens.  She was the coolest kid in seventh grade.

  • In middle school I used to design on my pencil bags!

Mk. Remember those pencil pages, rectangular shaped with a zipper across the top on one side, and clear plastic on that side so you could see your disgusting shit? I had one.

I also had paint markers.. I'm not sure what they are called. But we used to draw all over our hands and arms until the school called dress code on us. Anyway, we started drawing on the clear plastic of the pencil bag. It stayed brilliantly. The color was so vibrant, like paint. So I designed my pencil bag with my name all cutesy and yellow and pink and black. It was a prized possession in these days.

  •  I totally had a black paper notebook for my milk pens! But only cool stuff went in that notebook...like my crushes' name scribbled 20 million times in different fonts on one page. Or really mean things about the girls I didn't like.

  • We used to have those white and navy adidas shoes and we drew all along the sides where the sole was. I can't even remember what we wrote but it was words. So not the only ones! But I was kinda weird too! Haha And don't even get me started on Milky Pens. Every week in 7th grade they would get a new color in at the book store and we'd all line up during lunch to buy them. Love it
  • I just really wish you guys could see my love its right now. But you can't. It's very sad.

  • The 'I Do' stickers I'm looking at have the option of getting the guy 'Me Too' - if the guy must have stickers for his shoes - do that!  <<Thankfully when I jokingly asked my FI if he wanted them he just rolled his eyes and walked away.>>

It so is!!!! I still write on mine. I also had colored sharpies and would write on the sides because I had high top chucks so had extra writing space. And even the shoelaces!

It's kind of the saddest thing ever and they need to fix right now.

I really wish we could all go back to high school and be friends with each other there. I feel like high school would've sucked less with you girls.
