Dress alterations

I ordered my dress online and it fits pretty well but there are some minor adjustments to be made, as one expects. I haven't had anything altered on me since I've lived in NJ and certainly nothing as important as my wedding dress! No one I know who lives here has any strong recommendations. I live in Jersey City but could travel a reasonable distance. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

    I don't know anyone near Jersey City but make sure you use someone who specializes in wedding gowns. The woman I am using does all the alterations for the bridal boutique I bought my gown from but she is in Marlboro.

    You might want to try to call some bridal boutiques. They might have a referral or an in house seamstress that you can use.

    The woman I am using is in Rahway and has altered every wedding dress, prom dress, etc.... for our family.   Genna Cleaners is the place.. very reasonably priced and she's super sweet!

    Ally Bridal in Hoboken has great reviews for bridal alterations!

    Her shop is on Park and 2nd street.

    She was reasonably priced. I haven't gone yet but when I spoke to her she had said a max of $500.
