Sufficient drink options?

Re: Sufficient drink options?

  • This sounds more than sufficient. Personally I'm planning to host beer and wine (along with soft drinks and coffee) for the duration of the evening, with a signature cocktail for the cocktail hour only. Your drinks sound like a glorious fountain of tasty options! ETF repeated words
You might want to try to extend that to the entire night as I don't switch drinks partway through the night.  So if I start drinking your signature cocktail during the cocktail hour, and go up to request one after dinner, I'm going to be super sad I can't have another one, will switch to water, and will go home shortly after.

This.  I also do not switch alcohols throughout a night.  If I start with wine, I end with wine.  Start with beer, end with beer.  Well you get the idea.   Most people i know do the same.  The only thing I switch is from alcohol to water.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
