How about another pet thread? Introductions please...

Just thought one hasn't been done in a while and I know people will not mind AWing their pets.

I have a dog named Pepper - she will be 15 this summer...15 years that is!  She is a rat terrier.

My FI had a cat when we met so I now have a cat named Ally who is 12 years old.

We were so afraid to move in together due to fears they wouldn't get along, as my dog hates other animals, but it went rather well and she actually has a healthy fear for the cat.  They lay close to each other sometimes.  My dog never did that with her late sister, so it's so cute and I take pics almost every time I see them laying next to each other.

@LaPeanut1018 cute lab puppy pics are always welcomed, even if they aren't current!!!

  • @Pepperally - I honestly never would have pictured myself with a Golden, but now I can't picture my life without her! She is the BEST.

And now I have to go home and take her for a walk :)

    I have 3 babies!

Bailey and Hailey are both 6 years old, we adopted them together but they're not related by blood. Bailey is orange and white and while he's the BEST snuggler (seriously, he hugs me) in the world, he can also be a real asshole. Hailey is black and white and she's the chattiest cat I've ever met. She NEVER stops talking and she's always on top of me when I'm home.

Lucy is our 4 year old brown and white pit bull. She thinks she's a cat. She's super lazy and can be really weird.

All 3 of them get along great. Bailey and Lucy are absolute BFFs, though. Hailey could take or leave both of them.

I have a burd named Loki. He's almost 6. He's very weird and silly, and while we don't understand most of what he says, he's got an extensive vocabulary.

    Things he likes to do:
Sit on keyboards or perch on laptop screens
Play with phones (including flip phones, smartphones, or non-phones like iPods)
Play with TV remotes, engagement rings, AC adapters for computers (I have no idea)
Talk to himself in mirrors (he will fly into rooms with mirrors for this purpose)
Eat whatever we're trying to eat
Fly into the kitchen when he's not supposed to
Try to drink out of our cups (not allowed for alcohol and soda, but he tries anyway)
    Talking over TV/movies
Playing with the Wii U gamepad joysticks (aka moving the camera around while J tries to play Wind Waker)

He liked J okay at first, but then figured out that J was the reason I wasn't coming home some nights. So then he was really mean to J for a while. It took him a while to adjust when J and I moved in together, mostly because his cage moved from a bedroom to a living room. Now, he luuuurves J as much as he loves me and even plays differently with each of us. He also likes running/flying around the house.

Attached: Burd sleeping on keyboard; burd perched on laptop screen; burd in love with a phone; burd as a wee little one (giant black eye, black on his beak, pink nostrils, and lots of black bands on his forehead).
Awww he looks just like the parakeet I had when I was in elementary school!  My brother named him Flubber (the movie had just come out around that time).  I miss having a bird.

I don't have any pets right now, but my parents have 2 cats that are brothers, so they were sorta mine when I was living there.  I'm debating taking one of them because my dad does not like cats at all and would just love to get rid of at least one of them!

  • @phira- I laugh every time you talk about your bird! I think it's hilarious!

As of now we don't have a pet but we are currently in the process of pursuing two facilities that have yellow labs that we are interested in. One we have been talking to for a few weeks and it's an adoption agency that actually has puppies that were recently born this month. We are visiting them hopefully in the next couple weeks.

The other place H found last night is a breeder which I don't like but their prices are reasonable. I'd personally rather adopt but H really wants the block head monster lab bounding around our house so he really wants to take a look a these babies too.

  • We have a 9 month old puppy, Tessie. She can be seen in my sig, but I am going to jump at the chance to AW her some more with pictures.

The pic in my sig was her at 3 months. My cheerleading team was at comp and we had just learned that we weren't moving on, and BF sent me that picture saying "We're sorry and we miss you so come home to us." It's my favorite picture of her to date. She is a huge snuggle bug in the mornings with me and loves to play in her new back yard. She can catch Frisbees if they are coming right at her, but we are working on getting her to do it all the time.

This was the day we met her:

  • @severmilli12 - Reagan is BEAUTIFUL. You can tell her that I think she is a very pretty pretty princess.

@lmcooper86 - Are you sure you don't have my cat at your house? Brady does ALL of the same things, and I usually teeter on the edge of wanting to snuggle his face off or murder him. I think @swazzle would agree with me when I say that I'm shocked he's not an orange devil like ours!

  • @Blackbird230 he is beautiful, I hope it works out!

@caseface5 your pup is so freaking cute, I just want to snuggle her.

@GoldenPenguin so Gambit is your kitty's grey and white twin! He's such a little shit, it's a good thing he's cute. He's also really chatty, especially if he's been alone a lot...I frequently have to remind him that no one cares about his life problems and he needs to zip it lol

  • Love all the pet love!! And really love your Bo, @Blackbird230!

Our fur kids are Gus (the bulldog who was born pissy, is confident the world revolves around him, and is convinced he's part human), and Olive (the oh-so-naughty 3-legged wonder mutt whose sole mission in life is to chase rabbits and eat garbage).

  • @SmileDamnit - AWW , love your dogs!!  Just curious as to how Olive became a tripawd?  (I had a 3-legged dog before too).  FI wants a bulldog so bad.

No one is really knows for sure, but she was likely hit by a car. The rescue group found her at 8-weeks-old with what was described as a "mangled leg" when they were doing a spay/neuter clinic on an Indian reservation. So they picked her up, had it amputated, and put her in foster care. I adopted her at 6-months-old and by that time, she was perfectly fine. She'll occasionally still biff it, but only when she's on slippery floors or running too fast/acting all crazy-like.

*edited to add that I fully support your FI's want of a bulldog ;)

  • @SmileDamnit - I'm not sure if you do this or not for Olive, but chiropractic care was AMAZING for Denali when I had her.  She LOVED her visit, after she got home, she'd be all sleepy but the next day she was super bouncy.  I also did fish oil and extra joint health stuff for her, just because when she lost her leg, she had the early stages of arthritis (but was still an amputation candidate when I had to have it done).  I had also had a helper-harness for her.  It looks like Olive gets around just fine though.  Denali had issues that I always thought were from her being a tripod, but in the end I think it was another tumor growth that was bothering her.

    In loving memory:
Here's Denali - I was taking her out of her wheelchair (we used it for walks to relieve pressure on her back/back leg) -- ALWAYS with a smile on her face
