And I love the whole "God's will" crap is why they do not believe in BC. Yet, it's okay to see a fertility doctor? Really? If it's God's will you do not need a fertility doctor. You would not need to know your chances of having a Downs child or any other thing that comes up with having a child late in life. Because that would be God's will.

I didn't see last night's episode (still on the DVR) but the previews made it sound like they were going to make sure it was safe for her to get pregnant again due to the issues with Josie's birth.

Yeah and that was Gods way of telling them that they probably shouldn't have any more kids. He was like "hey I am going to make this birth extra difficult and your kid will have some problems as a way for you to realize that having more kids at your age would be dumb." Apparently that message was lost on them and rather need a more direct "no more kids" answer from God. But I didn't think God worked in such a direct way.

and don't forget #20 Jubilee who was stillborn at 18 weeks after Josie. I think God has told them already, they are not willing to listen to him quite yet.

Jill and Derick are really cute together. He actually has a good job as an account for Walmart. I'm not sure where he got his degree but he apparently has an accounting degree. Unlike the Duggar kids who are not encouraged to go to college. Not that everyone should go to college, but you would think 1 of the 10 older ones would want to.

He is religious, but I'm not sure if he is as conservative as the Duggars. I'm hoping now that he takes over as her authoritative figure he will give her some freedoms that she does not have not. For example, none of the single girls are allowed to travel by themselves. They always a buddy with them. That includes the store and such.

They get married in June. I guess that means we should see another grandchild around April of 2015.

Look, I can swear with the best of them, but the name-calling is really unnecessary. You can disagree with their religious and procreative choices, but you don't need to name-call -- especially words like that.

If you want to call them uneducated or ignorant or sheltered or backwater, that's fine. But calling them 'hobagging cunt waffles' is beyond the pale.

Jubilee was a miscarriage at about 5 months, but Michelle delivered the baby as a stillborn.

Okay I got suckered into watching some reruns of this last night. With the last baby, she went in for a routine scan at ~18wks and they saw the fetus had died. She then had labor induced. 18 weeks is on the border of when you call it a miscarriage vs stillbirth so that's prolly why both terms have floated around.

And the part where they went to the MFM was not NEARLY as crazy as people think... they were basically asking what was the likelihood of conceiving again (slim at age 47 but I think they wanted some tests done to have closure) and then asking whether there's anything they need to know or do to optimize her health for the next pregnancy, if there is one. I don't think either of those questions was crazy at all. (Aside from whatever craziness you think they have for not having her tubes tied yet). They were NOT asking for interventions to conceive if it doesn't happen. So things got blown out of proportion, surprise surprise. And she didn't even see a fertility doc! She saw a maternal-fetal medicine specialist who deals with high risk pregnancies.
