@SmileDammit

Was thinking of you this afternoon.  I know you are near Denver, but not sure where.   Were you effected by the tornados?

    It was crazy weird weather down here today! So I work in a western suburb and live in the souther burbs so we missed most of it, out east got pretty scary! One of my coworkers was working from home in Aurora and she spent most of the afternoon in her basement. And another friend was flying out of DIA and had go spend an hour in the tornado shelter (…who knew they had that at the airport??). I did get stuck in a torrential downpour leaving my dress fitting appointment, but that was the worst of it from my end. Now it's sunny and a lovely 60 something degrees outside. Did y'all get anything out of the norm? I'm telling ya, spring in CO is bat shit crazy. *FU, paragraphs*

  • Glad to hear you were safe.

    Beautiful sunny day.  It got cloudy for about 39 minutes, but that was about it.

  • (also in Denver) I don't think any major damage occurred - or none has been reported anyway. Just tons of hail. Got to watch my car be pelted for a while.

    How did I not know that?     Sorry.

    Glad no real damage.   From the news it looked like it snowed after the hail storm.

    You're in grad school here, right PDKH? Glad to know I'll be flying to Oz with another Knottie if these storms keep up ;)

    I'm not a CO native, and I move around a lot, but Denver is home base for now haha!

    I'll take a ticket to Oz if it means no more hail or May snows!

    ETA: Whoops, yep, grad school. I graduate in two weeks. Ack!

    Yikes. Doubly glad for no damage.

  • Right?! Honestly, while we get some wicked storms (hail, wind, etc.), I've never really worried about tornados in Denver proper (…especially since I'm originally an Iowa girl) but damn! Times, they are a changing!

    And yay for 2 weeks until graduation PDKH!!!

  • Yep, I'm from Missouri. Agreed, hearing tornadoes in Denver is strange. Before I moved here, it just never occurred to me that there would be tornadoes around these parts.
