I am absolutely loving all these adorable pics! Manpanion and I have 2 fur babies. Out bastards from the north with the surname of snow (we do both love game of thrones) and both first names are from battlestar galactica.

I met Apollo when he was 2 days old, a friend didn't get her new dogs fixed in time, so I fell in love. It was 2 days before manpanions bday, so I sent a pic saying "happy birthday?" He of course said no, but I won in the end, especially after we nursed him back to health when he had parvo. No he is my favorite goon/goober and he loves his mama more than anything (so much that he does not like mama and daddy having "moments") I like to sing to him the goon song (the doom song that for sings in invader zim, replaced with good) or we will sing "oh no, there goes Tokyo dog dog dogzilla ooooooo"

We also just earlier got buster, a rabbit. Manpanion has had rabbits before, it was his bday and we were at Petsmart, they had a rescue organization there, buster was not his original name. Previous owners thought he was a girl. Since Apollo was with is and hadn't tried to eat him yet, we called It even for me forcing Apollo into his life.

I still think buster is a jerk sometimes- picture evidence- first time he warmed up to me, I was snapping pictures then- surprise! But Apollo thinks buster is his pet, checking on him, even petting him.

@Dignity100 - oh!!! Denali is gorgeous!! I work with veterinary Oncologists and have heard that amputees from cancer often struggle a bit more, likely because of undying issues like tumors, as you mentioned, and I think also because the amputation usually comes later in life (e.g. harder to adjust). Good for you for giving that gorgeous boy such a good quality of life!

My Sydney bird is 8 years old. I bought him when I was in college- I was interested in a parrot that had potential talking ability and would be small enough for apartment living- factors that led me to Quaker parrots. I thought it'd be pretty sweet to have a bird that could say "hello" or something. I did not realize he would speak English in complete sentences and have such a HUGE personality!

Here he is at a year old, playing peekaboo with me. He was juuust starting to learn which are his left/right feet- he gets it wrong in the video.

All of your pets are beautiful! It makes me want a dog even more. Unfortunately BF and I work weird hours sometimes and live a half hour from work, so we couldn't take care of one easily. We love animals too much to keep one holed up in an apartment for 12+ hours at a time if both of us are too busy. Hopefully we will be in a position to adopt a fur baby of our own in the future!

That being said, each of our immediate families have a dog, and we both love them and consider them part of our family. So I am going to share pictures of them!

First up: Meet Merlin! He is an Austrailian Shepherd and Yellow Lab mix, and my parents adopted him as an 8 week old puppy in 2009. He loves to swim and play in water, and will drag you out of a vehicle to go be in the lake! My parents are planning to move near where BF and I live now, and have already said that we could take Merlin to the beach and dog sit him on weekends if we wanted to. The pictures are of the day they got him, the day I met him a few months later, and about a year and a half later when he was fully grown and laying on my old bed at my parents house while I was at college (please ignore the leopard print...I had a thing for it in high school):

Next, BF's family's dog, Moose! He is a Basset Hound and Pitbull Mix, and he is such a sweet dog:

This would be the Bella Blu, she's 4 almost 5 and the most perfect little doggie in the world!
