    Two things to share. First, because of this thread, I'm wearing my hater-top vest today. Ok, it's a woman's vest, but I realized it fit me like a halter top awhile back and ditched the shirt underneath. It does not have a shiny back but it was made for women, so that might be why (I bought it at Goodwill). I put it on totally thinking of all the vest talk.

    Second, I have a good stack of "what the fuck was I thinking" photos. My clothes, my hair, my make up, at some point I've looked at the picture and gone "Dear lord, was I on drugs?", that's kind of the awesome thing about living. I love those pictures, I laugh so hard at them.

    Hell my clothes are the least of my worries when I look back at old pictures. People need to remind me to stand up straight and never cut my own bangs again. 

    OP, you want your guys to wear vests, do it. Just recognize that since they're not intended to be worn alone, they're gonna have shiny backs. Also realize that people probably won't think twice about it because they've probably never seen a vest that didn't have a shiny back.

    I do love a good summer sport coat though. Yummy. Even (gasp!) with JEANS!

    @lolo883 I'm guilty of the bang thing. It's just so so tempting. And it's just a little trim it won't be bad...and then it's bad. Really really bad.

    One side always turns out so well. But then that other side... just need to even it out... NOPE. Now a little more off here... NOPE. Finally get the length right and then realize that the cowlick makes one side thinner than the other, so I'll just take a little more... NOPE.
