  Suggestion/advice is to get on same page as your FI.

  I answered you on E. Now that he has extended an invitation to them, you have to allow them to come.

  Now that he has invited the kids, it would be rude to "change mind". 

  
  

  But you could book a babysitter to look after the children that day nearby or at the hotel. Explain that all the other guests have already taken care of their kids. It would be unfair to allow only those and people might feel conned.
