I live for DIY because I have a bachelors degree in fine art, and I'm a frustrated artist! Lol. I have been working like crazy on this stuff, and I'm sure many of you have been in the same boat! I'd love to see what everyone has done! I've posted a much of what I have made, and there is more, but I don't want to bore anyone!

Oh but seriously, I've been out of art school for over 2 years and so excited to have an excuse to be creative again. I may be going a bit over board! Lol. The pearl bouquet is sooo pretty!! Looks like something someone would spend a lot of money on!

I haven't really started on any of my DIY stuff. I had made glitter votives for the centerpieces, but have just changed my mind. Found out that the venue (that provides the centerpieces) "revamped" what is included in our package and I HATE IT! So they will have to be scrapped. I got most of the supplies with a coupon so I paid next to nothing, but its still a major bummer. Especially since we are on a budget.

So, I have decided to go with candle centerpieces. 10" octagon mirror, a 8" floating candle bowl, 3 2" ivory floating candles and dark blue flat marbles in the bottom. I was able to price it out to $20 per table and that includes eating the price of scrapping the votives. Hopefully I can find a coupon.

I also plan to DIY:

- Table numbers

- Favors (If we do them they will be chocolate in a mold tied with a bow)

- Programs

- a few signs (guest book, thank you sign)

- Escort cards (vintage key with tag & ribbon)

- Garter (I have to add his dirt bike colors and number charm to it.)

This is barely DIY, but it's all I have done at the moment. I've converted my grandmother's necklace into a headband. I just had to take the chain on either end off and add some hardware to attach the ivory ribbon to. Here's the before & after pics...

I wanted a card box that matched our wedding colors but I didn't want to pay $135 for one on Etsy. Took a stab at making one myself and I have to say, for the first time ever picking up a glue gun, I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

New sign! Someone was getting rid of an old children's chalk board on the side of the road, and it was perfect!! And I'm now in love with chalk board markers.

I didn't want to rent the card box for $25 from our venue which was ugly so I made ours for a dollar more.

I have a couple more! I did the first page to the guest book I made, and I made some of the labels for my candy buffet. I also forgot to include the flower girl baskets I decorated to match the ring bearer pillows. I keep coming up with more and more DIY things to do!!

Finally finished figuring out my centerpieces. I went antiquing and got a variety of vases and breakfast/brunch themed items to put succulents in. Here are a few of my table arrangements sans flowers/succulents.

I spent the past few days working on these. They are cards for all of my bridesmaids, my 2 flower girls, and 2 ring bearers. They will go with the gifts that they get at the rehearsal dinner.
