Choosing between 2 dresses - really need help!

So I really love both gowns on me. They are Maggie Sottero gowns, first one is Taledga (http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=31813), second one - Tasha (http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=3MW780). I absolutely love how they look on me and first one makes me feel really bridal, but I also adore the back of the second one. And I just can't make the decision! So, my concerns: the first one seems a little bit too plain, there's a small piece of lace and beading on the corset but that's it; the second one has unsual waist line and I can't really decide whether I like it or not (and don't look at that weird knot on the back - it's just a corset ribbon with a price tag).
So I would really appreciate your fair opinions, ladies!

P.S. Sorry for mistakes, English is not my native language.

  • Yeah, the belt is optional. I thought about getting another belt with beading or something. But did not think about jewelry at all, I don't know why :) It's a good advice, thank you!

I am also a fan of the first dress. But you should go with the one that you feel the best in.

ETA: I also think a sparkly belt will do wonders for that gown and dressing it up

    Good Luck!!

  • I love sleeves. I think they're so feminine, and pretty, and now a-days a little bit unusual. (spoiler alert, I picked my dress because of the little sleeves.) So, I like the second dress more, simply because of the sleeves.  But they're both beautiful, and you look great in both.
  • Both beautiful dresses, but prefer the first. Pick the one that makes you feel beautiful.
    Happiness is an inside job
  • Thank you all so much for your opinions! The thing is - I feel just great in both these dresses. So it will be a hard decision to make.
And what do you think about the waist line of the second one (you can see it better at the picture from the official site)? Is it too unusual looking or maybe even weird?

I think it is a little odd, I like a higher waist line on you.

  • I actually like the second dress much better. It just looks prettier to me. But you look great in both and its your choice.

  • Both dresses are very pretty.  I'm really not a fan of the sleeves on the second dress, though.  You could easily dress the first one up with a different belt/sash.
  • I like the first dress - not a fan of the sleeves on the 2nd one.  I think the 1st one you look like a bride where the other one is just a little too young (more like a debutant).

  • I like the first one.
But it comes down to which one you feel best in.
  • I am going to go against everyone else and say I prefer the second one.  I like it because it is different and I think it is very flattering on you.

  • They are both very flattering, but I love the second one. I think it is so different and stylish whilst still classic. The first one is also beautiful, but it is a standard strapless ball gown.

  • I like the first one better.  The mesh is pretty, especially for an evening wedding, but mesh/sheer fabric like the second one is very trendy right now.  I say go with something timeless that you'll love forever, not what was trendy right now.
  • I think the first dress looks better on you.  The waist on the second dress is not as flattering, and I think the illusion neckline kind of swallows you up.  You really shine in the first dress.
  • I prefer the first one. If you feel like it is too plain, as PPs suggested, a rhinestoned belt would help.

The second one is very pretty too but I don't like the waist line so much,

  • Ladies, thank you so much for your responses and compliments! They were very helpful and I really really appreciate them!

I decided on the first one. Because I'm not so sure about the waist on the second one, and I really can't come up with anything that I don't like about the first one except possible simpleness (which could be easily changed with sparkly sash if needed - thank you so much for that advice!). But I still love those little sleeves and V-back. So I thought since I was planning to buy another dress - short and light for the reception and dancing anyway, I could look for a dress with sleeves and/or dramatic back.

    Thanks again for helping me!
  • I think that's a good choice. The first one really is timeless.
