I love impromptu talks with my mom. :)

My mom accidentally thumb-dialed me yesterday (lol) and when I called her back to see what's up we ended up talking for like 20 minutes on my break. We talked about a bunch of wedding drama and joked about cold feet (the day before my parents got married in Vegas, the story goes…my mom found the ONE non-gambling chair in the casino and sat down and freaked out about "why do you want to marry me?! Are you sure you want to marry me? No really. Are you SURE?!"…they've been together for 33 years now) and generally just had a great conversation. Just wanted to share something happy in my day!

    Glad to hear it!  I love my mom, too.  We are very different and sometimes she makes me crazy, but we talk a few times a week and I'm glad we have that kind of relationship.

    Also I find it adorable that your parents got married in Vegas, yet your mom sat down your dad to check if he was having second thoughts.

    Haha, yea, they are too cute together.
    My mom is always sure to remind me "you can always elope like we did! See, we're proof that it works!"

    I have to say, in the back of my mind I did always kind of want to elope in the same Vegas chapel that my parents did. There's something really sweet about continuing the tradition. But I'm happy with what we're doing too. :)
