A twist on being rude....

http://www.bitchlessbride.com/blog/2014/7/15/the-truth-hurts-tuesday-time-to-educate-your-rude-guests-bri.html

I've posted things from this website before (because I think she's hysterical and almost 100% right)...and I had to post a link to this again.   I hadn't looked at the rude factor as she outlines and explains it before.   I'm not saying it's entirely true, but I could completely see it happening.  Today's society is very caught up in their phones and photography that I wouldn't be surprised if many of these instances caused the so called 'rudeness' we discuss here.   IE slow service, not 'enough' food, etc.   Speaking from my wedding personally I remember waiters being asked to take photos all the time.

What do you all think?   Does it make you look at the 'rudeness' any differently?    For example, was the service really slow because the guests were distracting the servers and/or help, or was it poor planning on the bride and grooms side?

Re: A twist on being rude....

  • That article came across my Facebook a few days ago. I found it interesting that the firm tried to blame the staff and kitchen first before they found out if was more the customers. I can't imagine being on the phone when food comes (though I don't have one, so that takes care of that problem), I want to eat my food hot. Makes sense though that it's a more common problem

  • What about venues and restaurants instructing their waitstaff to not take pictures?  Or do we think guests would complain about that too?
