Sometimes what I do for a living really pays off. I'm constantly invited to press activities, some of which are not very exciting but I put in my time for moments like today. Because today my entire family was invited (12 miles down the road from our home) to the Diagon Alley press trip. We are going to stay for 3 nights at the new hotel Cabana Bay, spend three days doing Harry Potter activities including seeing the new Diagon Alley up close and personal with VIP access (no waits, no lines), eating a meal at The Leakey Culdron and a ton of other stuff.
I've been working with Universal for over 5 years now so this isn't even my 10th press trip with them, but this is absolutely one of the most important.
With what I do for a living I get this really special ability to say "I was one of the first people to ever (see this movie before it ever aired) (ride this ride before anyone else)" and although this won't be true this time around, because Diagon Alley has been open for weeks, it's still pretty awesome.
