S/O - What are you REALLY good at?

So we talked about things we have gaps about, but what are some weird things that you're REALLY good at?

Not only can I roll my tongue, but I can triple roll it. It looks like this:

(Also, if you can't tell, this is Daniel Radcliff, so he & I have something in common, and that makes me happy.)

I'm really good a rolling my eyes and having a bitch face apparently or so I've been told. Apparently, people can read my emotions from my face hah.image

ETA: And...seks (just because I like that word lol)
  • I have insane control over my eyeballs. I can point them in separate directions. It makes my head hurt a lot, but I can do it.

I also make amazing pork chops on the bbq. And can figure out how to incorporate velveeta into pretty much any meal.

Also good at accents. My friend observed that "beer can" with a British accent sounds exactly like "bacon" with a Jamaican accent.

  • @GoldenPenguin - Do you have a picture of you doing it?  Share!

I'm great at telling when women are pregnant if I know them.  It freaks them out ...one time I told a friend she was pregnant on the day she found out herself.  I must be reading body language or something.  I'm also very intuitive so that might be part of it.

  • Isn't the tongue roll thing genetic? I can fold my tongue that way as well.

  • @blabla89 OMG me too! Who knew? :-P

I'm great at running into things, like corner of my desk. I run into inanimate objects all the time.

I can only roll my tongue once. :(

I can squat my FI. It's so funny. He's 6'2" and about 170 lbs, and I can put him on my back and do squats. I even did it in heels once!

  • I'm pretty good at doing percentages in my head - long history of shopping sales!

I can swallow pills without water.

Also wasting time when I should be working, obviously.  I even have to go to a meeting tonight so I won't have any catch up time in the evening!

  • @caseface stole my answer...seriously.

Well before SO, I was pretty sure I had perfected the art of scaring off men.

  • I have no skills.
  • I'm a good technical writer. And I can knock out a large volume of pages easily.
  •  Wait! I can talk really fast.
  • I can cross one eye and keep the other straight which is pretty cool.
I'm also really good with make-up.
I can make some amazing baked ziti.
My Sid the Sloth impression is great.
Every time I try that one I just end up spitting everywhere. Do you have that problem too?
  • @eisleyjogo Nope, but I talk like that ALL the time around the house so I've perfected it. FI is like, "omg, you're so weird". It cracks him up though.

  • Thought of another one! When I speak Spanish, I sound native. My Spanish has declined significantly since I graduated, but I remember doing a reading once in high school, and one of the other teachers asked if I was native. I may not understand what I'm saying, but I sound damn good when I say it!

  • I'm really good at reading people/situations.

I'm really good at makeup, when I'm not too lazy to do it.

I'm really good at finding the core of the problem in situations, and giving good advice.  (In my own situations, though, I tend to be too close to it to get an accurate perspective.)

I'm really articulate...when I try...and am very good at telling someone to eff of in an extremely professional manner.

I'm really good at being loyal.  I'll never really turn my back on someone I really love and care about.

I can roll my tongue and do the weird triple roll.

I am good at teaching and public speaking.

I am exceptionally good at playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. YOU'RE WELCOME, WORLD, so glad I could contribute that skill.

I can recall a lot of details and quotes and jokes from Friends, as well as details from Zelda games or Harry Potter.

I am, apparently, good at raising and socializing parakeets. I've been told that the only parakeets who behave like mine tend to be hand-raised, not parent-raised, as babies.

  • @Peaseblossom55 : Well hey, that's weird and special in itself!
  • OH - I am a vast warehouse of useless information. I think it comes from lots & lots of Jeopardy, but I am a total wringer at bar trivia. I just KNOW things, and I have no idea how I know them.

I'm really good at curling my hair on one side of my head (the left side).
  • Oh I have the ability to remember dance routines from shows and dance recitals going very far back.  I guess that might count for something :-)

  • I'm good at math.  Let's just say I do a lot of math in my head.  When I put it on paper, I can usually derive math that I've never learned if given enough time.

I'm amazing at typing, both in speed and accuracy.

I'm very good at distinguishing colors (I think most fiber arts people are) - why yes, there is a difference between yellow green and green yellow!

I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton
  • @caseface5 yay! It can be fun somtimes, I just wonder where my brain holds all of this stuff....
