Inexpensive Staten Island/New Jersey Wedding

Hello All,
I've been searching high and low in both Staten Island and New Jersey for a venue that is complete with a ceremony space, bridal dressing room, and reception hall for under $80 pp including taxes and gratuity. I plan on getting married on a Sunday afternoon any time between June and August of 2015 (I'm in grad school so the other months are not viable options). 125-150 people , buffet style is fine, no booze, and some nice architecture or grounds to take pretty wedding photos- an overall great bang for my buck. I thought it wasn't possible at first but I visited the Pantagis Renaissance and found that it is indeed possible as they quoted me a price of about $57 pp including 4 appetizers, salad, and a chicken dinner as well as cake and a champagne toast. I wasn't completely sold however as the tour seemed rushed and although I called 4 days in advance to book this tour, when I arrived they said there was no appointment made. I felt like it may be a sign of things to come. Any suggestions for beautiful, inexpensive venues with the specifications listed above? I know its a all order. Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Prices at the Graycliff start at $80 pp without taxes and tip but they include booze. Maybe they could find a way to fit into your budget.

I got married at Black Bear Golf Club in Sussex County.  I know Vernon is a haul from SI, but it may be worthwhile considering.

They offer a package for $65 (before tax and gratuity) that includes open bar, a full cocktail hour, and multiple menu offerings for dinner.  This package isn't limited to specific days of the week, but you must guarantee a minimum of 100 people.  Since you don't want any liquor, you may be able to get the price reduced even further.

I'm getting married at The Grand Marquis in Old Bridge on a Friday, 12/12/14. The place is gorgeous, especially the Dome Room. You can have your ceremony there too. They quoted me $80 pp ($102 once the taxes and gratuity are factored in). Friday nights you have to guarantee at least 75 people. Saturdays are $90 pp (without taxes and gratuities) and you have to guarantee 125 people. They also offer food tastings (free if you book, $100 pp if you don't) and you can bring other people. (FI and I brought my parents) and the food is OUTSTANDING! If you haven't already found a place you should definitely check them out. If you do, ask for Victoria. She's very sweet and knowledgeable.

Try the Woodbridge NJ Elks club.  The outside of the building is nothing to look out but the ballroom is pretty nice.

I've heard this place is known as a wedding factory.  Holding up to 7 events in one night.  I've never been to a wedding there but my parents have.  Their dinner was served late, cold, and it was disgusting.  They stopped at a diner on the way home.

Pantagis is horrendous. There is a reason it is so inexpensive. They have at least 5 weddings a night as another poster said and the food is awful. I have had the unfortunate luck of having to attend 2 weddings and 2 brunches there and the food got worse with each event. The service was worse then the food not to mention that brides were running into each other all night at both weddings. I would not havey wedding (or any event) there even if it was free!

Pantagis used to be good. It was THE place to get married back in the day. I was there recently for an event (non-wedding), and the whole place just looks so... dated. The food was nothing to write home about. The decor hasn't changed at all since the first time I was there over 20 years ago. The staff is mostly friendly but I've heard some horrible stories about them in the recent past that make me not want to give them any of my money.

The Reception Center at St. Clements in Matawan. It's really pretty inside and the food is excellent. Its worth a look.

I'll actually be using the newly renovated Marquis Room. I haven't seen it completed yet which is definitely a risk but the hallway leading up to the room was gorgeous. If that is any sign of what the room will look like it will be perfect for my daytime summer affair. The dome room was gorgeous! I loved it, but it seemed more fitting for a sunset or evening wedding.
