Last Meal

Because it's Friday afternoon and my boss is gone and I'm bored!!

What would you chose as your electric chair "last meal"?

I'm gunna go with a fatty rib eye grilled medium rare, salmon sashimi and a rainbow roll, steamers with real butter, Cape Cod potato chips and sweet potato fries with ranch for dipping.

Re: Last Meal

  • A HUGE Ribeye cooked (or not) rare with a loaded baked potato. Popcorn made by my FI with cheese. Icecream and chocolate chip cake. And a bottle of wine.

  • Pad Thai from my favorite Thai place, hot cheetos, spaghetti and sausage, fried chicken, pears, icees, pepsi over ice, tapioca pudding....pretty much as many things as I could think of so as to make the meal last as long as possible.

  • Forget about the meat. I want my dad's mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, Hawaiian rolls with butter, and (insert any and every dessert here) to add to the carb-fest.

    ....and SWEET TEA!

  • Super rare steak, a red dragon roll from my favorite sushi place, my friends fried chicken, brownies, wine, more wine, and bacon mac n cheese.

  • Something about the last meal question always makes me feel squicky and morbid.

But if I could eat ANYTHING without consequences, my favorite meal would probably start with guacamole, hot salsa, and chips.  Also bean dip.  Then a pasta entree with white wine sauce, broccoli, and sausage.  For dessert I would eat some fresh berries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  To drink: a few extremely strong margaritas.  If I'm gonna get killed, it might not hurt as much if I'm drunk as a skunk.

  • A plate of my loaded nachos.  A rare, fatty steak.  A bottle of Los Alamos 2012 Chardonnay.  Couple of slices of stuffed crust pepperoni pizza.  FI's grandma's chicken paprikash.  My Noni's gnocchi.  Potato skins.  Ultimate red velvet cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.

    Oh god I'm hungry now.

  • Seabass. A taco. A plain bagel loaded with cream cheese. A block of colby jack cheese. A plum. Jet's 8 corner pizza (I want all 8 corners). Some thick cut bacon. Grilled shrimp. Sunfish. Spicy salsa and chips. Pad thai from my thai place. These breadsticks from my favorite bar. Some variation of expensive medium steak. Lobster. Cool ranch Doritos (the whole family size bag) French fries from MCD's. A pb+banana. A loaf of sourdough bread with a butt ton of butter to put it on. Strawberries. Mint chocolate chip ice cream and peanut butter cookies for dessert.  Widowmaker and some margaritas to wash it all down with.

That's my dinner I have every night, so why change it on my last night?

Baked jacket potato with sour cream, my mom's shepherds pie, my mom's rhubarb crumble, FI's spicy cookies, a proper english breakfast, and spaghetti on toast, and see's candies raspberry creams.  And a rootbeer float and well made coffee to wash it down with. And then I would explode.
  • Fresh cracked crab with lemon, and then a green leaf salad with crumbled Gorgonzola and a red wine vinaigrette dressing, and homemade bread. Prime rib of beef, medium rare, herb and garlic crusted. Green beans sautéed with walnuts and diced pancetta. Parmigiana risotto. A bottle of Barolo I don't have to share. And then, if I haven't already died of happiness, a hot cappuccino and cannoli. Two frikking cannoli. (Only one would be a cannolo.)
Then I die, and nobody gets to execute me.

(So, exactly the same thing I have every Christmas, but I don't have to share the wine. And I don't even try for two cannoli at Christmas.)

    God, what did I do?
  • I feel sad that tax payers are feeding those monsters their last meals...I mean, rape, 168 counts of murder??? Lol... anyway, I would have meat lasagna with four cheeses, garlic bread, chicken tenders with barbecue sauce, poutine (sorry I'm Canadian lol) and all dark chocolate tarte for dessert. Can I get some rose champagne with that please?

No not starve to death. I was just thinking what an act of kindness it is to give them a last meal of their choice after some them gunned down children, raped women and cut up people in little pieces. Am sure bread and water would have sufficed. But that's just my opinion, not trying to stir anything up here!

Swiss cheese fondue, blackened tenderloin tips, a petite filet mignon (medium with extra butter a la Ruth's Chris), and au gratin potatoes.

Dessert is a little trickier. I'd go for a chocolate lava cake, cannoli, or creme brulee. A sampler , perhaps???

For drinks, I'd start with a margarita but I always end up with a diet coke.
    Edit- spelling

Ooh fondue, good one! That and either food from 676 in Chicago or from the Vietnamese place down the street. They have amazing crab and calamari. Lots of wine and coffee. And cake/cupcakes from the place that did our wedding cake/cupcakes. A big fat burrito is always a winner too.

  • Okay...where to start?

Vietnamese: Phở, bánh mì gà nướng, and goi cuon

Puerto Rican: mofongo, morcillas, alcapurrilas, and arroz con gandules

Thai: Tom yum goong, and gang keow wan kai

    Indian: murg makhani and chaat

Also a gyro, extra tzatziki, and tabouli

For dessert, creme brulee, Godiva flourless chocolate cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, and Baileys on the rocks.

Even if i had that "bite of a bite" of all of this, they still wouldn't need to execute me!  lol
