I am totally not bitching. I just noticed that a TON of people on the NEY boards are engaged. Maybe this board is good luck for actually getting engaged. HA!

Don't get too excited. Some of the engaged ladies on this board were here for years before getting engaged. Some were even in different relationships when they started posting.
@justbeingme93, my FI, when he noticed I was on the NEY board, had a mini freak out and I was like, "I've been chatting with these ladies for awhile, there's a complete mix on the board." And there is! There's some single girls, not engaged yet, engaged, married. A lot of different experiences and perspectives to get advice from.
I am definitely not jumping the gun. BF and I will not be getting engaged for a good two or three years... I have a feeling. We have discussed financial and personal goals we need to consider before making that step. I was just making an observation.
That is what I LOVE about this board. I get a wide range of responses when I have a question, concern, etc.. I have been with my BF for six years, and I know we have a few more years until we take the next step. It is difficult to be patient and wait, but I know we are making the right decision. This board is a great way to keep me level headed while I wait.

Pick me!!
I was with my ex when I started posting here. We broke up, and some of these ladies supported me through what was one of the hardest times in my life.
They then helped me through the back & forth of feelings with that break up, getting back into the dating pool, going on some very terrible dates, feeling like I was just going to be a single cat lady for my entire life (I truly, honestly thought that maybe I was just one of those people who would always be alone), and then the meeting, falling in love, moving in, engagement, and now wedding planning with my FI. I wouldn't be who I am today without some of these ladies.
Re: What I want
