Name (if you want to share): I go by Marie on the boards. :)
How long have you been engaged? I was engaged for a year and a half, and got married 8 months ago.
What is the color scheme for your wedding? We didn't officially have one! Our invites were pink and orange. My bridesmaids picked their own dresses (and colors) and wore pink, sea blue, seafoam green, and yellow.
What moment during your wedding can you absolutely not wait for? To have a "first dance" with H. Also, to dance with my dad.
Do you have kids/furbabies?  Do you have pictures? We just bought a house ... that's our "baby" for right now.
What was the one thing you would have done differently on your wedding day? I would've had my bags packed for everything WAY ahead of time -- a bag for things to bring to the RD, my honeymoon suitcase, everything. Written down instructions on how to make the bustle, because nobody knew how to do it on the day of, and I couldn't help at all since it was behind me.
Did you and your FI agree on all the vendors picked? Yes. I mostly did the choosing of each vendor and H approved them, but we generally had a lot more discussions about the concepts than the vendors (i.e., what kind of music to play and what kind of food to serve) not the actual vendor. We just went with a vendor that we'd gotten a recommendation for that fit what we'd decided we wanted.

How long have you been engaged?  8 months (wow, time has FLOWN)
What is the color scheme for your wedding? Not entirely sure yet.  Going for a vintage chic look if that makes any sense -- flowers that don't look too put together, all different types of fabric used for napkins, burlap table runners...and that's about all I got.
What moment during your wedding can you absolutely not wait for?  Probably the first look.  I'm really excited about all of it though!
Do you have kids/furbabies?  Do you have pictures?  Unfortunately, no furbabies. :(  FI absolutely loves dogs and so do I but our apartment doesn't allow any pets.
Do you have questions for the old married ladies who still hang around here? OMHs -- how did you stay on track with your planning the last few months?  Everything is happening much faster than I thought it would.  You all always said that it happens that way, but I'm just now seeing that it really is true!

Whats the one thing you would do differently if you had a do over? I would have asked Cityplace to pack a to-go box with some of our food and our cake.  I remember sitting down to eat, but I don't remember any of the food.  And I actually only got one bite of the groom's cake, and it was all icing.  I also would have just fixed my own plate.  It was nice that they did it for us, but we ended up with things I didn't want like ranch dressing.
Did you and your FI agree on all the vendors picked? Mostly.  H was REALLY picky about cake, but rarely had time to go to any tastings.  We were several months out, so I finally just said, "Okay.  You are now in charge of cake."  And he ended up picking my favorite.
OMHs -- how did you stay on track with your planning the last few months?  Everything is happening much faster than I thought it would.  You all always said that it happens that way, but I'm just now seeing that it really is true! Meredith.  Haha.  =)  But really, I relied on my MOH, who is way more detail oriented than I, and I stuck post-it notes everywhere.  Not the best system, but I got married, didn't I?
How do you keep the in-laws and friends from driving you crazy! Hahaha I had a long talk with my now SIL about keeping our mutual MIL at bay.  MIL is wonderful, but she comes on very strong and doesn't always realize how she's behaving.  I've had to learn very quickly to tell her, "No, I can't do that, but if you'll let me show you what I am doing, I'm sure you'll love it."  And she did.  =)

Anyone recommend a good and inexpensive pipe and drape company? Also, did you trim anything from the budget and were so glad you did? No ideas on pipe and drape, but we cut FAVORS out and I'm so happy we did.  I had a really cute idea to fit with our science theme (test tubes filled with jelly beans), but holy cow what an expensive little thing.  In the end, no one cares about the favors.  Really.
Anyone doing something special for their first Christmas married with their husband?
I get to see him.  That's special.  =)

Name (if you want to share):  Kylie

How long have you been engaged?  We got married October 15th, and were engaged for almost 15 months

What is the color scheme for your wedding? Eggplant was my primary color, mixed with oranges, greens, reds and creams.  It was a very natural feel with lots of burlap and moss

What moment during your wedding can you absolutely not wait for?  I bawled like a baby twice, during our "first touch" and at our private last dance.  And I only did that (as a surprise for the DH) because so many ladies here raved about it!

Do you have kids/furbabies?  Do you have pictures?  No furbabies, but I have a step-son now who is the most fantastic thing ever, next to my DH of course!

Do you have questions for the old married ladies who still hang around here?   I'll try to come back to this with answers...
