Second anniversary 1.5 weeks away...

And I'm not sure what to do to mark the occasion!

DH will be out of town for work and not back until the day before I head back into the hospital (4 days after our anniversary). I can't really go anywhere now or once he is home and I am not sure about buying him anything because he currently lives out of a hotel when he's not home with me. I was thinking of maybe arranging something through his hotel, like beer and snacks in the room when he gets back from work. Not sure that is all that fancy! Any thoughts?

    A manly gift basket with beer, snacks, and whatever else he might like.  A steak dinner sent to his room?  Oh what about a massage?!?

    I like the idea of sending something to his room.  Call up the concerge and see if they can help.  Maybe you can arrange a special room service meal and eat it together via skype?






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I like the idea of arranging something with the hotel.  Does he have a favorite food or drink?  You could see if they could supply that.  Not sure how into spa treatments your H is but would he enjoy a massage (I am sure living out of a hotel room is not all that wonderful and he may be stressed with work and such)?  And of course a heartfelt card/a call from you is always the best present.

    Sorry if I misread, but will you be in the hospital already or not so much? Regardless, I would throw on your favourite movie, grab your favourite snacks and cuddle up together.

    On our actual anniversary, he will be out of town for work. He gets home the night before I get readmitted to the hospital. He is basically gone from 8/3-8/14, I get readmitted on 8/15 and our anniversary is on 8/10.

    Thank you, but I am definitely the lucky one to have him!!! He has dealt with so much stress from me over the last few months. It's been so hard on him to see me so sick. I feel awful for not being the woman he married, but soon enough, I'll be back to my old tricks!
