Did anyone watch The Bachelorette last night?

I'm embarrassed I just posted that.

Anyway, spoilers!

I can't believe Nick made that "make love" comment to Andi. Does anyone else feel like he was totally acting? He was totally over the top. At least she didn't make him pick out a ring. I thing she did the right thing by going to him before all of that. I mean, dude, you're on the Bachelorette. You knew there was a chance she was going to pick the other guy!

And call me a sap, but Andi and Josh really do look happy.

Re: Did anyone watch The Bachelorette last night?

  • I think Nick has been playing "the game" since the beginning.  He was always scheming and plotting and analyzing where he stood against "the competition".

I think he was horrible about saying the "making love" comment live on national television.  There was no need to slut shame her, I don't care if she slept with the whole cast and crew, it doesn't matter.

I thought Andi and Josh are very cute together, but I think they were faking some of their affection for the cameras.  It was a little over the top with the kissing and hugging and PDA.  It was like they were trying too hard to over come Nick's comments or something.

Twitter is hysterical with equal parts "Andi deserves to be called out because she is a cold bitch." and "How dare Nick say that?".

The Andi and Josh kissing session was a little much. I seriously don't know how she didn't smack Nick upside the head for that comment. I thought she handled it really well.

    Awesome! Thank you!!!
  • Nick gave me the creeps the whole season. There's just something off about him.
  • I hated nick the whole season. It always seemed like a game to him. I understand being upset that he didn't get picked, but he's still playing the game, trying to "win" her. I liked josh but I think they were probably trying to make up for nick being a jerk.
  • I also thought it was interesting that Nick at first seemed to be saying that Andi made a mistake and he wanted to change her mind. But when Chris called him on it, he seemed to change his mind.

I hated Nick the whole season. Way to cocky and confident and strategic. Like he was "playing the game." I did feel genuinely bad for him, since he tried to confront her numerous times. His family was SO concerned about him being vulnerable and getting his heart broken again, and I'm wondering if his cockiness may have been a cover up to a certain extent. He definitely seemed like a pathetic puppy last night. I honestly liked Andi well enough the entire season until last night. I felt she was really rude and condescending to him when he was trying to get closure. I just didn't feel like she gave a shit about his feelings at all, and was happy with Josh now, so nothing else mattered. eta: boo. TK ate my paragraphs

  • I think we can all agree, at least Nick wasn't as bad as this guy...

  • Ugh, that smarmy douche. He was the worst!
  • I honestly liked Nick throughout the show. I didn't think he was trying to "win" or was cocky. I think he was just happy and confident in the relationship. Oh well, I didn't see the show last night but it didn't sound like Nick went out gracefully. My favorites never when ha. I can't wait for the bacholor!

  • Um, did anyone notice they didn't announce who the new bachelor is?
  • Yeah, I was wondering why. Maybe they just want people to focus on Bachelor in Paradise first? However, it seems that he was hinting at Farmer Chris.

I hope it's Chris. He was my favorite.

But I didn't think about them wanting more promo for bachelor in paradise. I didn't think about that.
  • There's also some rumors that it might be Arie from Emily's season. I just read this time article that also threw out Marquel as a possiblity: http://time.com/3051339/next-bachelor-nick-farmer-chris-arie-marquel/

  • Marquel would be an awesome choice.

I agree! He's handsome, dresses well, and makes cookies- what's not to love?! But I forgot he is going to be on Bachelor in Paradise, so I guess he's out of the running.
  • I don't think that Nick was trying to slut shame Andi. He tried to meet with her before hand to get some answers and knew that this was his last shot at getting them. It seemed like he was frustrated.

I missed the kissing scene, but my 93 year old friend didn't. She said it was disgusting : )

I'm betting that Chris will be the next bachelor.

  • They've allegedly filmed with both Arie and Chris in their hometowns. I would be surprised if it was Arie though-he is such "ancient history" and Chris is fresh in people's minds. Also Chris fits more into their "looking for a wife" story line more than Arie who is, quite frankly, a man whore. You've been slut-shamed Arie.

I want it to be Farmer Chris, which is why I don't want it to be Farmer Chris.  It seems that they pick someone who was a fan favorite the season before, and when that person gets the spotlight, he/she is no longer as cool.
  • I snorted laughing when Nick made the sex comment.  I was like "c'mon, dude - save what is left of your dignity and just LET IT GO."

I also think that Andi & Josh were being WAY too cutesy, like they were trying to prove something.  And I LOVED that Chris Harrison pointed out the irony that they traveled across the world to fall in love with someone in their own hometown.

    SITB.

Dear God, YESSSSSSS!!! That man is so hot.

  • Arie-I don't even care that he's a man-whore. Lol

It seems like lately their "leads" haven't been exciting to watch. I heard they filmed both Chris and Arie (as a backup in case Chris is boring). I mean, Chris is so sweet and cute and all...but I have a feeling that a whole season of him would be a snooze.

I do think Chris is a bit too laid back to be the Bachelor, but let's be honest- the real drama always comes from the women vying for the Bachelor's heart.
