Don't freak over the name.  Go to Trader Joe's, get the OBGYN out of your head, and try this shit!

Their Meyer Lemon Thins are awesome too. . .

Toast. One spreads it on toast, like peanut butter. Also like peanut butter, the Speculoos comes in creamy and crunchy (with little cookie bits inside!) and it is a treasure.

  • It's amazing. I personally love it spread on dark chocolate. I've also spread it on apples. But the dark chocolate is better. Much, much better.

Nope, still can't. It's like putting apple butter on apples.

Plus I hate gingerbread, so there's that.

Would it be wrong to use that to make cookies and then spread on to said cookies?

    Not in the least.

  • Now I'm upset we don't have a trader joes. However, Williams sanoma has gingerbread butter at Christmas.

If that's wrong, I don't wanna be right!

Nope, still can't. It's like putting apple butter on apples.

I see nothing wrong with this either.

But, I've never been to Trader Joe's, even though there's one right by my new apartment. I just feel like it would be expensive hipster stuff. I also thought that about hummus too, but I tried some this week and WOW. Maybe it's time I try TJ's.

I mean it is usually crawling with hipsters and granola moms, and it can be over priced, but some things are very good and worth trying imo.

I go to Trader Joes weekly. They have such a great assortment of food and it's not that expensive (Whole Foods is much more expensive). If you like wine, they have a great wine selection as well. That cookie spread is amazing. I like to spread it on apples and toast.

Wow, I thought MA was bad. Only half our stores have alcohol. Well, the food is good there too.

You can get it elsewhere! I've found it in grocery stores before (usually higher-end). It's sometimes called speculoos. It's delicious. I found out about the TJ's version after buying other brands before.

    Fear not, my friends!

Wow, I thought MA was bad. Only half our stores have alcohol. Well, the food is good there too.
In my province, alcohol is only sold in liquor stores. No grocery stores, no convenience stores, no Costco. They're planning to let a very small number of grocery stores sell alcohol starting next year. Even then, you can't pay for your groceries and alcohol at the same till. You have to buy the alcohol separately at its own till.
