My girls are in a tamil wedding on Aug 30 so we had to drive two hours for them to have their sari fitting. They'll look so pretty, I can't wait! The bride also had a sari made for me and we are going to have that fitted as well. After that, the kids and I will drive two hours back home, pack up the car, and head another hour north to spend the weekend lakeside at FI's family cottage. We so need a break for a few days...

Back at the house, construction guys will be working on the garage and tree guys will be taking down more trees today so we can get our fence up and landscaping done before the wedding. Eeeeek.

What are you all doing today?

    What's up?  Me.  Damned steroids!  Couldn't sleep, especially without DH.  I'm cranky, bloated, ugly, nervous.  Hands are shaking. 
    Oh, yeah, and I'm WHINING, too.  I hate whiners!  I think I need chocolate and ice cream.
    Going to make a pile of my too-big clothes for charity.  If I take them while DH is gone, he won't be here to sort through them and ask why I'm donating his shirts that are three sizes too small and twenty years old, but never worn.  (He was saving them for good!)

    I'm going to yoga class this morning. I haven't gone in almost a month because I was ouT of town so it's going to suck. I have to take kitty to the vet this afternoon. I need to do some cleaning and I should start writing my progress report for school. I'm hoping to have time to renew my cell phone contract and upgrade my phone today.

    Headed to the gym right now. I have been a waste of space this week and I need to get it together.

    I have $40 in rewards bucks to Old Navy, so I will probably head there after the gym. I need to get a thank you gift for my parents for helping us host the wedding (it was 2 weeks ago but I am seeing them this coming weekend at a family friend's wedding). The weather has been glorious lately- very cool for early August, so I will probably go sit in the park and read later. Since my wedding, I have made it though 3 Harry Potter books and I started Goblet of Fire this week.

    I will prob cook dinner for myself and lay low tonight. H has been out of town this week and I have been having lots of amazing me time that I have REALLY been enjoying!

    We just finished a breakfast of chocolate chip banana pancakes ams now I'm going to make zucchini muffins while Chiquita decorates a mirror for her "big girl room".

    I'm 2 weeks and 2 days from my due date and hope to wash the clothing i have for Chiquito. It's starting to really feel real and I'm getting slightly freaked out.

    I'm thinking of all our friends today battling cancer and keeping you close in my thoughts.

    Two weeks!  Ooooh!  How wonderful!
    I remember bribing my two year old daughter with Big Bird sheets.  She wanted to sleep in her big girl bed with the Big Bird sheets.  Memories!

    This morning I went out with my dad for chicken and waffles, then we picked up his dress blues so he can walk me down the aisle in them. Now I am napping because without FI, I don't sleep well.

    I get to see all the little munchkins today! It's my nephew's third birthday party, and all ze bebes will be there. 2 nephews, 2 nieces, and their 2 second cousins. So many snuggles for Auntie Lolo!!!

    Awww, I want snuggles! My 8 day old niece is being released from the hospital after a bout of jaundice. Yay that my muffin is finally better! Boo that we still live 2000 miles apart.
    smichek- Aw, happy your niece has been released! Mine was in the hospital for the same thing and she just looked so tiny and sad. I also live a zillion miles from my nieces, which is horrible. My sister is great, though- we video chat at least 2-3 (sometimes 5-6) times every week. I get to watch my niece roll around and do silly things. It isn't a replacement for being THERE, but it helps in a pinch!

    Went the gym this morning. getting swole. Gotta have the guns ready for the dress next weekend. Kidding. Kinda.
    It's my bday today and bachlorette party this evening so u plan on forgetting the fact that I'm supposed to be cutting and will be indulging in everything available to me. What isn't cut yet won't be by next week at this point anyway.

    Before that I'll be sewing my butt off and crafting away. If i have time FI and I will take the kids to magic Montauk or Chuck e Cheese to celebrate MY birthday. Haha. It's Saturday before school starts and we have coupons to use. Plus they have been showering me with affection today and kind of deserve some fun.

    I just finished downloading and printing 6 articles that have already been posted for my class (starts Monday).  I like my Uni. stuff for be double sided, but my printer at home doesn't do that, so I've been manually feeding it paper and loading it to print double sided.  Normally I print it all at work, but I'm not going in, and all of our computers there are getting worked on anyway.  Looks like I've got a lot of reading to do today.  

    Then I'm off to the wedding shower for the girl with no registry and a cash request for their non existent HM.  She's getting a cookbook and some nice cooking salt.  It's my go to for showers - The New InterCourses.  Each chapter is based on an aphrodisiac as it's main component.  

    Dh is at work, and then to my parents for burgers tonight!!  Yay for not cooking!!

    I just got on Priceline and booked a night at a local resort for almost half of the regular price! We haven't had hot water in almost two weeks. I'm looking forward to taking a hot shower than hanging out at the pool.

    Arizona. The brightside of summer is resorts are dirt cheap, especially on Priceline.

    l Today's kind of a cleaning day, though we're going to call our photographer and see about when we can get our pictures.

    I'm much more excited for tomorrow, because we're going to get our new kitten:)  She's a stray my friend's sister found and can't keep and she's adorab    le.  I guess I should probably come up with a name for her at some point.

    I haven't been around much lately but I chose to come in and work some comp time. I have one surviving sibling, my very much older brother who will be 70 in December. He has to have a triple by-pass this week and is at a VA hospital in Southern Ohio, waiting to be transported to the VA hospital in Cleveland. I am his only living relative so guess who is going to Cleveland monday morning. I would appreciate any T's & P's you might offer in his direction. No children, no wife, but he has had the same "lady-friend" for about 35 years. She just had a stroke a couple of months ago and can't accompany him. They have a neighbor made of pure, solid gold who is checking in on her several times a day and took my brother to his catheterization appt yesterday. My bosses are awesome and said I could come in and work the weekend to bank some comp time since I don't have much time built up in the new job yet. Banana - I really wasn't tracking that you were so close with Chiquito! Hoping to see a picture of the 2 little bananas when he is born. LDay2014 - your girls are beautiful and will be knock-outs in the sari's I always wanted one because they just look so incredibly beautiful.

    My parents and sister just got back from Florida. The first thing my dad says:

    "What the fuck did y'all do to the bathroom door?"

    ...nothing. It was fine three minutes ago.

    Also, I just got my birth certificate replaced to try and get a passport for our family trip to London this Christmas. My birth certificate is in NY. I live in AL. NY uses an online ordering system. I told the online ordering system I needed one for a passport. They sent me a "Certified Transcript of Birth" after I paid them $33.00 and had a huge hassle ordering it, and at one point got an email saying that my order had been canceled DESPITE having submitted EVERYTHING as they said to submit it. So I was excited that it came in, and showed my parents. What does my dad say? 

    "This is the wrong one. You're not going to be able to get your passport with this."

    I wish they would go back to Florida.

    But I've gotten some laundry done and had the house tidy (again... until they came back), we went and got a trash can and shower caddy for our bathroom, and my 20-year-old sister hung out with FI and I all morning, so until they got here it was a good day. :D

    You don't even know, man. FI is no help either, he wants to build the Gotham Daily Bugle as much as I do! I am literally using ribs to distract myself from lego. Btw @LDay2014 your girls look wonderful! Beautiful fabrics too!
