SA Wednesday

I mean, I guess it's good that these protesters aren't just leaving their kids at home, but seriously?  You have nothing better to do than drag your children to a camp site?  Most of the people down there don't even know why they're protesting...

Also, if you are a businessperson, it is good practice to respond to your clients.  Especially in the days leading up to said client's wedding.  :/

I'm so sick of the protesting thing.  I agree a lot of things are screwed up, but protesting isn't going to change anything TBH.  And now as a taxpayer I get to pay more for police coverage for said protest while I work my ass off full-time at a job and go to school full-time just to make ends meet.  At least if you're going to protest, have some real talking points and some ACTUAL solutions for change.  I don't have the "luxury" of spending months of my life not looking for work, not attempting to make ends meet, not attempting to be a productive citizen, and camping out in downtown Dallas.  Life goes on and there are jobs out there...something to consider.

I'm an emotional mess this morning.  Forgive me.

Professor, I hope you hear back from your vendor. :(  That is not the type of stress you should be having to deal with right now!

I can not for the life of me figure out why I keep trying to buy stuff from fellow knotties off the classifieds board and it never happens. I'll write the person saying I'm interested and I'm lucky to get one response. Or if I get a response, it gets to the point where I'm ready to pay them and Poof... Their gone! I just don't understand. Lol it's happened at least 10 times and I've only been successful twice. Sorry it just puzzles me! Have a great hump day ladies!!

Does anyone else think the chick saying Bieber fathered her baby is completely crazypants?  Kidd Kraddick (whose legal knowledge is above reproach, y'all) seems to think no one would actually file a suit without some kind of proof because if it turns out they're lying, they'd go to jail.

I'm sure the truth will come out very quickly but I just find it incredibly hard to believe.  Like, the girl has crazy-obsessive-stalker love for Justin Bieber, got pregnant, panicked, something snapped, and suddenly the Biebs is the father of her baby.

Also, I rarely listen to Kidd in the mornings, and when he gets on one of his "I know everything about everything ever" tirades, I change the station.

I will admit I read some of her claims of their tryst and it just seems like the disturbed fantasies of a crazy person.

What are you calling about?  I didn't think you guys were doing anything there except the hotel for guests?

We are.  They gave me the wrong date for our cutoff (date they gave me was Nov. 1), then released all our rooms on Oct. 20.  The chick I'm dealing with keeps giving me these circuitous answers when I try to figure out if anyone had to pay $40 extra to book a room.

Professorscience, which Doubletree are you using? I had a lot of problems with the one in Richardson as well as with Hilton's corporate office.

Campbell Centre -- the one by Northpark.

It's really just the salesgirl who's frustrating me.  She sounds like she doesn't give one flip whether we show up or not.  I'm going to make sure I find out who her boss is when we check in.

That's frustrating. Ours was a different location then, but we had similar problems with reservations, paying for rooms, and getting welcome bags delivered. We found that they were just fairly disorganized in general and that communication among staff members wasn't very good.

We were able to get a list of rooms that had been reserved under our party--I don't remember whether or not it had prices listed but I think it may have. But they should be able to give you a list like that--hopefully you'll have better luck with the supervisor.

I had trouble with that as well at Campbell Centre--getting a list of who had gotten rooms.  I didn't have them release the rooms before they told me though.  I think ours was a week before.  That sucks.  However, my experience with other hotels (other being the operative word) was that they gave the guests the deal if there were rooms available.

Wow Amanda, that really sucks.  I hope you are able to speak with someone else who is willing to help you out.  Screwing up a big sale shouldn't be NBD to them.  That's really unfortunate and I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Whatever.  I'm going over her busy little head.  Maybe I'll call FMIL in tears or something and then she will freak out and probably make someone over there cry.

Also, I'm not married yet, but I MUST give glowing accolades to my invitation designer, Danielle Marino, who is stepping up to the plate and fixing the table numbers that my Etsy vendor messed up (and promptly stopped returning my emails) THREE DAYS before my wedding.
