On Monday I finished my first semester of grad school! Yay! Now I have a two week break until fall semester starts. My plans are: lay by the pool, ummmm, yeah I guess that's about it. And work on some wedding stuff! Two months out!
We booked our honeymoon yesterday!!! We're going to Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia. There was a bit of a freak out moment because we decided to book our airfare on our own, not through Sandals. Booking it through kayak.com was about $300 cheaper than booking it with Sandals. But when we went to actually book it, American's website is all glitchy because they're merging with US. So I left FI in charge of it and somehow in the end he got a cheaper airfare than what I had found on kayak. Awesome! I'm just nervous about all the connecting flights to get down there...the two times I've flown this summer, both times my connections got canceled and I was stranded. I am so hoping that doesn't happen for this trip.
Now it's time to do some dress shopping for the honeymoon! FI is super pumped about all the snorkeling. We booked a rainforest zip line excursion, which is what I really wanted to do.
Some of you may have seen my post last week or so about finding out that FFIL was having an affair on FMIL. There is still a lot of drama and phone calls received from FMIL, wondering why this happened to her and so forth.
So FI and I were trying to convince her to come visit us at the end of this month, but she said she couldn't because of work, etc. She called me yesterday to say that she WILL be coming and just booked her flight! (FFIL is coming too, who I'm rather apprehensive about seeing. But nonetheless...) I can't wait to give her a big hug. I'm hoping I don't start crying when I see her, because I'm sure she'll start crying too. (Crying from being happy to see her, and also because I feel for her in what she's going through.)
Well, I'm off to take my dress to alterations to get a bustle put on it! Anyone else have something awesome happen this week? Happy Friday, y'all!
