Wedding Woes

What has this come to?

I'm now lurking on other boards (yes, I know I'm that late on it) because there is no new blood here and it's too quiet.

ENTERTAIN ME!  *strop*

Re: What has this come to?

I'm far to boring to entertain anyone.

I do have an annoyance. I took my laptop in Monday to have it looked at. They said 24-48 hours to run diagnostics. Wednesday afternoon I finally get an answer and they say it should be ready Thursday or Friday morning. It's 1:30 and they still don't have the bloody part. Guy says it only takes a couple hours once they get it but I have crap to schedule around! I went local and paid more for diagnostics hoping to have. It back faster and you know TO STAy LOCAL. I hate typing on this bloody iPad.
  • Our closing is definitely being pushed back to end of Sept or the beginning of Oct.  I'm beyond pissed and I can't even yell at the people I want to yell at.
  • Pmeg?  Who?  MakeupGeek or Fyrinnae, or...?  :)
  • Conn-that is some straight up bull shit!
  • No, Shiro and HelloWaffle. I am in love! I need to get some Pixie Epoxy though because I need dat sparkle and duo chrome goodness. Husband is not at all happy.
  • MrsConn that us some straight up bullshit.
  • I love my pixie epoxy.  :) I will avoid looking at either of those lines.  I have been super good this year...SUPER good.  The one thing I splurged on?  A Tom Ford Quad.  I want the sable one, maybe later this year?
  • JealousE.

My splurge was a Guerlain Rouge G- the LE in Rose Grenat. I love it, and if my house burns down I will save it before anything else. Kidding. Maybe.
  • LOL.  I've heard awesome things about the Guerlain Rouge G line.  :)  I don't watch or read blogs much anymore.
  • I read like 3 or 4 blogs and I almost never watch YT at this point. I did a ton of damage earlier this year so right now it's just about replacing my empties and resisting the temptation.
  • I finally have empties for a change.  It's taken a good year of not buying anything but new mascara to start seeing pan on anything.

I lied, I did buy the Lorac unzipped palette last fall too.

That is serious be mrs.conn. For two and pmeg are speaking a total foreign language.
  • A few weeks ago I went through and chucked a bunch if things that were just old and didn't work. Lately I've been making myself shop my collection- using palettes I haven't used lately, retrying items I thought didn't work. That said, for my birthday I am buying new brushes. I need a good blush brush.
  • I could seriously spit nails right now. Our buyers loan originator is to blame and probably their agent.    I really hope this doesn't cause us to lose the house we want to buy.  I had to put DefConn down for a nap he really doesn't want or may not take because I just need to be alone for a few minutes.

I feel an angry cry coming on.

Ugh mrs.conn. I'm so sorry. Is there any way to push things since they screwed up? Any earnest money? Wasn't there talk about them renting for you for a month? That might be sometng to take to your loan person as income to help with the one you are buying.
  • If I could, I would drive to your house with a gallon of liquor and help you drink the sad away. Buying our house was a nightmare I still remember, and it's been 5 years. Here's hoping something good comes your way soon.
  • We've tried all angles to get them into a different loan (that doesn't have the additional processing time), but no dice.   Their fucking agent's 'assistant' is a moron of the highest order.  My mom (and myself, via my mom) are telling how to do her fucking job (like, "HEY idiot, call the mortgage company and start moving up the chain to get the loan pushed through underwriting TODAY so they can send it to the USDA TODAY!" and she was shocked that we were going to hook them for our inspections and appraisal if this squirrels the deal on the new house)

And as much as the closing and moving and renting our house to the new buyers is a nice idea, our loan guy said it won't fly with his underwriters. Just because we have no guarantees in writing from our buyers that this loan is going through or a timeframe.  And as much as I'd love to entertain that idea, there's just too many variables that could go to shit and leave me stuck with two houses and renters that can't buy my house.  I don't want to be a landlord and I want the profits from selling this house.
