I kind of love it, especially the yawn centerpieces and the cake topper.  Although I wouldn't do a cat themed wedding myself, though I love cats; IDK it just doesn't make sense or something.
Thoughts?

Re: Cat Themed Wedding

  • As adorable as cats are, I find that to be ridiculous.  A Glitter box?!!? WHY?? "Just Meowwied"   gross.  Maybe I'm just so over people giving me their stupid theme ideas about my wedding that I just think wedding should be a fine enough theme on it's own.

Deep breath.  Wow, I don't know why I go so hyped up.. you'd think those adorable kittens would have helped keep the blood pressure low.

  • People have called me a crazy cat lady before and even this is a bit too much for me. Not even the cat theme, but the amount of like, glitter/confetti/ruffles/pink/fake yarn balls", I mean. Pretty fun, but I feel sorry for guests with allergies!

  • Ew. No. No. No. For one, kitty litter (even pink glitter kitty litter) should never be at a wedding…or any celebration, for that matter. And there's a problem when the bride & groom seem waaaaay more interested in a couple of random kittens than they do each other.

  • FI and I have  actually talked about finding a (small) way to incorporate our cat at our wedding since he is a big part of our lives (we are kind of crazy cat people), but this was all too much. Liter boxes are gross. I don't care if there isn't actual liter or poop in it. I wouldn't want it remotely associated with my wedding.

  • @SmileDamnit‌ - there is pink glitter cat litter? Wtf!

These for for children's birthdays. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

  • The litter box was too much.

Also, this is a vendor "inspiration" shoot and I always find those to be overly themed and not realistic.

Lots of the little touches were really cute, though-- the yarn centerpieces are pretty cool if you want a non-floral look.  And that dress is stunning with just the little bit of pink.

@chibiyui I just want to be clear here.  You know these people who brought a huge plywood portrait of their cat... and also had their photog take professional pictures of them PEEING on their wedding day???

I want to know everything about them.

ETA: The guy is different so it must be a GM peeing?  But it's definitely the bride.  Linked from APW.

  • Hunh. Don't remember the peeing pictures.

In any case. I was not invited to the wedding. We were part of the same group, and I spent a good chunk of sophomore year trying to hook up with the groom (while he was still single, obviously) We drifted apart junior year and haven't really talked since graduation.

Nice people, the "accidental hipster" type. They don't go out of their way to be offbeat and quirky, they really are just that weird.

    Art school yo.

seriously!!! there wasn't even one picture of the couple without one of them holding or fawning over a cat.  do they actually love each other or did they do this for the cats? lol

  • Did they seriously adopt kittens to use as props at their wedding?

I think they partnered with a rescue group. In the captions it says the kittens are available for adoption.
  • Omg, is this why my pinterest was inundated with cat themed cake toppers today?!  I just wanted food porn, dammit.

Guys, this isn't really a wedding at all.  They are just models and yes, the cats are just props.  It's a styled photo shoot to promote the vendors.

I know it is just a photoshoot. The cats were used as props but at least the rescue organization you can adopt them from. A lot of animals get adopted because of photo shoots like this.

Oh.  I confess I usually just look at the pictures and skip reading when looking at these types of sites.

Usually I do too, but I was intensely curious about whether this could possibly be real!  So I read.

  • I CAN HAZ KITTEHS? DH wanted to bring our cat to the wedding but I said no. We had little pictures of kitty on the STD, invites and favours. Very few people noticed the secret kitty.

  • I admit I didn't read it at all I just saw pictures, threw up in my mouth a little, and worried this would be the new fish centerpiece.

  • This reminds me of the sesame street episode of the pet rocks getting married.  Sorry, not sorry... I have a nephew.  I did explain to him (he is almost 2) that weddings are expensive, and rocks shouldn't enter into it lightly, and make elmo host the entire event if they were just doing it for fun. This was during my stressful wedding planning days. Lol

  • I am quite relieved this was not a real wedding... but once these photos make the rounds on pinterest, the yarn runners will be the new burlap

  • I cannot get over the cuteness. Kittens everywhere. So much adorable. I'd never actually HAVE a cat themed wedding, but this was cute.
