Re: TMI: Do You Wear Underwear

  • Buck naked here.

  • I'm too chicken to get a massage because I'm such a big girl I wouldn't want anyone to feel awkward or like... go home and talk about me lol
  • I wear nothing to my massages. Then again, I used to manage a busy massage clinic, so I have zero reservations about stripping down for a good massage.

  • I usually take them off, though I have left them on a few times because I've felt more comfortable that way.

Also I like the word chonies to describe my underpants/underwear/panties/ect.
  • I feel pretty comfortable being naked, so I feel very comfortable taking it all off for a massage. Funny story at the gyno: Once I was getting undress and the doctor knocked and came in while I was mid-de-pantsing. He said "oh sorry" and went to leave" and I told him "no, it's ok, you can come in. You'll be seeing it all anyway!" and we both laughed about how the UNDRESSING part is the part that's embarrassing, even though he's obviously going to be peering at it ALL.

Isn't there an e card about how women tuck their undies away for their gyno exams when they're exposing everything anyway?

I totally do that. I dunno why, but I put my pants on the chair, then my chonies, my bra, and then I use my shirt to cover it all up.

At which point I put on a thin paper outfit, hop up on the table, and spread 'em nice and wide...but thank god no one saw my chonies.

  • Underpants stay on. My butt is a no touchey zone. (Except for FI. He can touch the butt as much as he wants.)

The only reason that I do that is so that they don't fall out onto the floor. I don't need no gyno floor touching my areas. Ew.
  • I only ever had my back and my neck massaged, not the "full body" (not sure what all that would entail, but the title creeps me out a bit).  Anywho, my massage therapist has said that some people feel more comfortable in their undies and others are OK taking everything off.  I had on comfy underwear that day and I was a bit nervous,  so I kept my underwear on.  I didn't think it got in the way really.

  • Undies on for me. Just a comfort level thing, though I've never noticed that they have gotten in the way for any one. I've also only ever had a female masseuse for comfort reasons.

I now have a male therapist, which I'm ok with.  But at my last appointment, he was asking where I teach, and apparently his kid goes to my school.  I don't teach his kid, cos he's in the younger grades, but it was a little weird to think that I could teach him soon while his Dad gives me massages in my knickers.

ETA I think that sounds kinda creepy reading it over.  I'm not trying to be a creeper.  Really

Ooh, question.  Has anyone gotten a full body massage?  What does that entail?
  • @lovesclimbing‌ they just massage legs and arms and feet. It's a little bit of everything. I think I only had one masseur (and it was a woman, usually I have men) massage my butt.

It's nice though, I love when the massage the front of my shoulders and scalp!

Depends on the time limit too.  I normally do 90 mins, and my lat therapist was amazing.  She did back, legs/buttocks, then flipped you over and did the front of legs, worked my hips, cos mine are a mess.  She then did my abdomen, which is pretty weird at first, though I noticed the biggest changes there.  Then shoulders/arms and neck, and she always finished with scalp and face.  OMG, that last 5-10 minutes was heaven!!

I've only ever gotten full body massages.   Sometimes they are like what Winston described.  Other times I started on my back and ended on my stomach.   Depends on the therapist.

I try and get 80 minute ones, but sometimes have to settle for 60 minutes.   Even the 60 mins ones hit all the areas, just a lot less time at each area.

I actually prefer my limbs,  shoulders and head being worked on than my back. I feel more relaxed at the end.   They still do my  back, but they don't spend as much time on that area as the others.    A good therapist will honor your requests.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
