Discount Websites

Has anyone had experience with a discount dress website? I have found mixed reviews on the website I ordered my dress from. Any positive experiences? If so, what website? TIA!

Re: Discount Websites

  • Be careful about ordering online, as you might get stuff from China that looks nothing like what you wanted (check out: https://www.facebook.com/BridesBeware).  As for decent websites, here are some that I know of:
    http://www.pearlsplace.com/ (call them, I don't think you can order online, but they have decent prices)

  • What site did you order from?  Perhaps we can be more specific if you let us know.

    I've ordered some stuff from JJs House to be cut up for costumes (because it was actually cheaper than buying that amount of fabric) and the quality was laughable.  It was fine, considering what I'm doing with it, but I would have been upset had I ordered from that.  That said, I had a friend who ordered from Dressily Me and was quite happy with the result, but I expect that's an unusual occurrence.

    99% of online sites are not discount sites at all.  They do not sell dresses at discount prices.  They sell cheap knock offs.  I hope that you did not order from one of these.

    There are a few USA discount places.  Usually you must telephone them to place an order.  They will order the authentic dress for you and mail it to you at a discount price - not Maggie Sottero.  They are an ordering service, not a shopping service.  All sales are final.

    I had assumed from your original post that you were buying from a Chinese website that does knock offs or cheap originals, but CMGragain is right.  These sites do not offer designer gowns.

    Be very careful with the sites that offer bargains that appear to be too good to be true. They usually are a big risk. Check out http://www.Bridestore.info as they give some great advice, a list of scam sites to avoid, pictures of some really bad dresses and general information about shopping online. Well worth checking out if you don't want to be scammed. Good luck with your dress. I hope it's ok.
  • hi I got my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses on www.dazzlebride.com.

    Their quality is good, and they deliver in time. They also took time to answer my emails quickly and clearly, even after I made the payment, which is one big critic I read concerning those websites as I was doing my research.

    You can get good deals as I did but often too cheap is not a good sign.

    @buttercup1958‌ here too.
