Gah!
I had mentioned to FMIL that my friend Andy would be doing a reading at the wedding. Andy and I have been friends since high school (so 20 years) and Andy and my FI have become very close friends. He seemed like the perfect choice. I asked him and he said yes.
Yesterday morning I get a text from FMIL: Just so you know, Nancy (FI's step-sister) is really good at public speaking. Maybe you should ask her to do the reading instead. You know, in case Andy has a problem doing it.
Huh?
1. I already asked Andy.
2. I never mentioned Andy having a problem doing the reading. In fact, public speaking is a huge part of Andy's job.
3. FI and his step-sister are not that close. They only became step-siblings while they were already adults, so it's not like they grew up together.
I'm just hoping she didn't already say something to Nancy, because she would totally do something like that, not realizing what a huge problem it could become.
RSVP date was Friday. I still have 14 cards not sent back yet. My venue wanted me to have RSVPs back WAY too early. I basically was like, "Yeah, OK" and put a much later RSVP date than they wanted. So of course the venue is hounding me and I've got to make a bunch of phone calls. Some of the RSVPs are from people that I know are coming. Just send them back! Pick an entree! Jeez.
I just found shoes that I love more than my shoes I have already purchased. And I want to buy them SO BAD. However, they 3/4" higher than my current shoes.
I have no idea how I'm going to sleep for the next 25 days. I'm so freaking excited, even with all of this stress.
