  What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

  I know I'm late on this, but I literally threw my hands up in the air and went "ahhhh!" when I saw that her DAD put the ring on her finger. WTF?
  
  I kinda judged the Arby's thing and then felt bad for it. It's not like he needed to take her to an expensive dinner or anything, but a park? A city street? Anywhere but Arby's.
