What's up, ladies?

I'm sitting here desperately trying to mix my peanut butter and getting a workout in the process. I buy the Smucker's Natural Creamy kind and it's separated and the top is straight liquid and the bottom is thick as hell and I just want it to mix so I can put it on my english muffin and top it with banana, damn it!

I discovered which of my cats has been peeing on the mat outside of their litter box. I was walking out the door this morning and heard what sounded like running water so I dropped my stuff and went searching and sure enough, there's Hailey in the litter box but her butt is at the door and she's peeing STRAIGHT ON THE MAT. It's not too small (it's a HUGE litter box) and I don't know how to get her to go in just a smidge further so this stops happening. Sigh.

H has a work dinner tonight in the city so it's just me and the pup and kitters when I get home and I'm actually really looking forward to it! We're going to snuggle and watch ALL the things on the DVR and then it's DOUBLE EVICTION NIGHT on BB

@Swazzle I hate it when the PB separates like that!

I might work from home starting this afternoon. Right now our software is down as usual so I have nothing to do at work. Tonight I'll go to CrossFit and H is serving all night so I won't see him until probably around 10 p.m. So it will just be myself and Maddux watching tv all night together!

ETA: What the fuck cat? Put your butt in the litter box! If it makes you feel any better, Gambit pooped in my closet like a month ago AS I was cleaning his litterbox. And it was a big poop. What a jerk.

@southernpeach89 - Oh my, he is growing so fast! What a handsome boy

Tonight FI has to do some stuff at church so I have an evening to myself. We have a few things going on this weekend so I am going to do laundry and relax and drink wine and watch a movie or something.

We are supposed to be getting our engagement pictures today or tomorrow...I am obsessively refreshing my email lol

I'm in a crappy mood today even though it's my Friday.

I got my hair cut and highlighted after work yesterday at a salon I've been to twice before (and thought I really liked). When I went to pay, they told me a price that was $100 more than I was expecting. I argued that I had never paid that much before, and they finally dropped it down to only $45 more than I was expecting, but I still felt like I had been overcharged. This morning, I checked my bank statements and saw that in April (when I got the same exact services from the same stylist) I was charged $45 less. I'm pissed off and ready to call them and demand a refund. Also, I don't even love how my hair came out, so it just feels like a huge waste of money.

I'm super broke this week. I put a few extra hundred dollars into savings last month, but I had to move it back into my checking account so I can make it until I get paid next week. FI is also broke, but he gets paid by both his full time job and part time job next week as well, so hopefully we'll be back on track then. I'm usually SO good with money, I don't know what happened!

On a brighter side, I borrowed a dress from a friend last night, which I think I'm going to wear to FI's friend's wedding on Saturday. We're both off from work tomorrow, and will be leaving bright and early to drive up to FI's parents' house in the Finger Lakes. I love visiting them, and I really need some sort of a vacation - so I'm treating this weekend away as just that!

@swazzle, it must be something in the air. My kitty and his kitty have both had litterbox problems - his peed outside the box (what the hell, cat?) on the mat and mine pooped on her mat.

Today is full for me - class and my old department and new department are having an exchange-of-information day so I have a lot of stuff to handle.

@CocoBellaF - Ahh thanks for the tip! I did get my replacement temp crown. I go on Monday for the permanent one, finally!

@KeptInStitches - I wonder if they're just mixing the box or if they're doing it to purposely be assholes.

@Swazzle sorry about Hailey, I hope she is ok. H is taking one of his cats to the vet this morning she has been going outside the litter box and it's been real annoying. H is going to PT and meeting up with some hockey friends so I get a night to myself as well.

I woke up exhausted today like I had not gotten any sleep at all. I just hope the work day goes by fast so I can get home and relax a bit. I got a big food steamer from my bridal shower, I used it last night to cook H & I dinner and I loved it. It has these separate compartments that I could set to different timers based on what type of food it is. I don't think the flooring H & I ordered will be here for him to install this weekend. So we now get a free weekend to not do any house stuff, so we'll see what we plan. I'm just looking forward to 5pm today.

@Peaseblossom55 - I think Hailey is fine, she's just overestimating the size of the box. She goes in head first and then pees while in the box, but her butt is so close to the doorway that it just misses and goes all over the mat. Oddly enough, she goes in head first and then turns around to poop, so her butt is at the back wall and her face is at the doorway. I wish she'd do that while peeing too!

What did you make in your food steamer?

@Swazzle Have you seen the little boxes with the door flap? Do you think trying a new enclosed box would help because she'd have to push all the way inside to go? I dunno just a thought. Cat pee is the worst!

@southernpeach89 Maddux is a gentleman to everyone but Cinders! He just humps away at her and then he bites her! At least he's cute!

I have sooooo many meetings today. It's really putting me in a negative mood and I'm struggling to bring myself out of it. I just filled in my calendar for September and October and OMG all the WR stuff1 It's kind of overwhelming. I have so many due dates and deadlines coming up in the next few weeks. After I get done pulling my hair out at work FI and I are going to go to the new Costco they just opened in our area. I'm kind of excited even if it's just Costco. We'll probably get a hotdog (and hopefully some gelato) for dinner! Last night I unfriended one of my uncles on FB. I had to do more than just "hide" him from my feed because I feel like that wasn't enough. He's been constantly posting the stupidest and most ignorant political shit for weeks now and I've been barely able to hold back from commenting on it so last night I decided I was done. It's kind of a good feeling, now I don't have to see his spam clogging up my newsfeed.

@Peaseblossom55 - I saw an infomercial for a steamer a few months ago and was intrigued. What kind did you get?

@Swazzle - A different box might help...I know that my parents had trouble with their cat pooping on the floor beside his box because it was just too small for him (their cat is HUGE). I know you said they have a big litterbox, but maybe having a door flap would encourage her to go all the way in?

@swazzle I steamed green beans, some broccoli and sweet potoatoes. I actually like the sweet potatoes in the oven better, but the veggies came out fine. At least it doesn't seem like a medical issue with her then so that's good.

Good morning!

FI and I went to our first Financial Peace University class last night. It was actually really cool, we enjoyed the class, and definitely felt good about ourselves since everyone else was nearly double our age. Also, I shit you not, a man in his 50's asked what a budget was, and if that just meant he should track his spending AFTER the money has been spent. :::HEADDESK:::

@Southernpeach89 - Please stop being so adorable! Oh, and the puppy's cute too ;-)

@Swazzle - Sorry for the arm workout this morning, but just think how many calories of your english muffin you saved by doing that!

@Peaseblossom55 - That steamer looks great, and relatively small (maybe?). The store where we're registered only has one steamer and it's really tall and looks like it would take up a ton of space, so I might look into just buying the one you have from somewhere else. Glad to hear you like it!

@lmcooper86 it's a decent size, enough to steam food for us and different kinds of food too and it's not too big where it takes up a lot of kitchen space either.

I feel so "blah" lately, ladies. I'm no where near my fitness goals and I'm downright mean to myself some days like today. I feel like I take one step forward during the week and three steps back on the weekends and need to stop it but I just rinse and repeat without fail. The two hours of commuting every day and H and I living with my Mom doesn't help either. Hopefully we are just a few weeks away from moving into our house. Ugh..I'm whiney today and I need to cheer myself up. Maybe a hair color change or something is in order.

@CocoBellaF - I'm SO excited for this class. I'm not really looking forward to facing the music as far as cutting things out to get the extra money to pay off the debt, but I KNOW it will be so much better when we do! I really cannot believe how foreign money management seemed to these people. How did they get where they are with mishandling money so badly?! Also, I'm kind of torn on whether or not it was a good idea to do this before Christmas ha!

Oh, and it was a total win because my oldest DD went to her kids class for the first time and actually liked it. She even says she finally wants to go to the kids class during services on Sunday! I've only been telling her that for nine months!!

@Ollie08 yea it was expensive it was an impulse registry item I didn't think anyone would get us but H's grandma got it for us.

@minskat I love Sur La Table everytime H & I go in we always wind up buying stuff, it's an addicting...

I love that is has a timer so I set the sweet potatoes, green beans and broccoli for differnt times to cook and it was all done at the same time.

Today I'm going to the coffee shop up the street and filling out more job applications and submitting more resumes. I don't seem to get anything done at BF's apartment except watching Criminal Minds, so I figure getting out of the house would be nice.

I've been in pain since last Friday, and I'm just about fed up with it. I had a cracked tooth, so last Friday I went in and had it shaved down and had the temporary crown put on. The temp popped off the same day only a few hours later. They cemented it back on, but every day since it has been aching unless I take some Ibuprofen. The permanent crown wont be ready for another two weeks, so I'm really hoping that this pain is only temporary and doesn't mean I need more work done.

@Ollie08 I have a separate rice steamer, but this one also has a special container to steam the rice in, it's the only way I make rice now.
