How's everyone weekend?

Husband has a cold, but he still woke up at 5 am because he's like that. By the time I got up, he was halfway through a movie. I watched that with him while I ate breakfast then he put on Wall-e. Which we watched for a full 20 minutes before realizing we had it on in French, lol. Half way through the movie he took Nyquil, because he left his Dayquil at work and promptly went back to bed.

So I picked up the dog crap, mowed the lawn, trimmed the rouge grass that has escaped into the plant area, weeded and watered everything. I also discovered that our sprinkler control unit went from 80% broken to 100% broken

I'll bring that up with husband when he wakes up so we can get it fixed.

Now I'm sitting at my kitchen table having a drink in my underwear because my crappy hose drenched me.

Next up, change the water in the fish tank then I'll sweep/mop. I hope to have the chores all done by the time husband wakes up.

Couch time here, for now! He has video games, and I have the computer.

But I'm fixing to be a real person and go grocery shopping then cook supper. All the taco talk inspired me this week, so that's what we're having!

I have such a ton crap of homework to do this weekend that I don't even know if I'll be able to to my other chores. And FI is at work probably getting his homework done because the library is super slow on the weekends.

I'm in the hospital working on round #5. My mom is here with me and driving me a little batty. I'm also starving in spite of the fact that I just had a big lunch that involved chocolate cake!

Well. Might as well tell you guys about my little side gig. I'm a secret shopper. I had to do a few shops today and I was running a bit late so I ran out the apartment, and FI was going to meet me so that we could exchange our coins and go to lunch. FMIL had been driving me insane. She first wanted us to take her to brunch, then wanted FI to take her grocery shopping and to the gym or some crap. FI tried to get me to go but I was like nope gotta do my other 2 shops after lunch lol.

So After lunch FI went to drive to BK and I went to complete my shops at Chelsea piers when I realized I left my house keys at home!! I called FI but he was already on the highway. He was like "well, you can hop on the train and meet me in BK!" I told him I'll just lurk in our hood till he gets home lol. So I'm on my way to best buy now to charge my phone, and one of my friends is meeting me for Drinks soon. That's my day so far haha

H is sick as well. I think he has a fever. (Ooh, just remembered we have an ear thermometer! I could check!) Also, we work on Saturdays, so I was shooting an event this morning (I'm a journalist), and then I go in to work at 3. I should actually be working right now because I have a crap ton of stories to file before I leave on vacay tomorrow!

H is sleeping. He's been sleeping pretty much since last night at 8:30 except for a tea break at about 10 this morning. Poor thing. I hope he gets better soon. As I said, we're leaving on vacation tomorrow. We're going to his home town to visit my in-laws. Super excited because I've barely been around them and never been to his home town.

H can be kind of disgruntled when he's sick because I never get sick. He gets sick about once every six months or so, but I pretty much don't ever. I'm not even kidding. I've had the sniffles once or twice or a cough, and dizzy spells once in a great while, and sea sick (which doesn't count in my book, because even though it's puking and laying around, it's not something I "caught"). But I haven't been sick where I've been feeling poorly, laying on the couch all day sick probably in at least a decade.

FH and I went and got my e-ring checked and cleaned. On the way home, we stopped at a Pennsylvania Dutch Meat Store (I live near-ish to PA Dutch Country) and we got some beef bacon, which we've never had. But OMG let me tell you the store smelled delicious. They smoke everything there themselves and you walk in and it is glorious. They also had Funny Cake and ShooFly Pie. If you've never heard of/had it, I'm sorry. It's amazing. Drool.

I'm sick, too. Still. This is going on the second week. And I'm away for the weekend and forgot my decongestant.

I'm babysitting my teen cousins. Left Boy at home to pick up Girl from sports, then came home and discovered a cigarillo butt wrapped in tissue on the kitchen table. He's gonna be in trouble when my aunt gets home. We watched Let's Be Cops, which was about as silly as it sounds.

We're all in for the night now. They have cable here so I'll probably just watch TV tonight while the teens do whatever it is that teens do in their rooms.

Weekend schmeekend. Im working today and it feels like a full moon. I miss DH.

It's a rough weekend. Two days ago we found out my sweet fantastic mobile 92 yr old grandmother had a severe bilateral brain hemorrhage. It's irreversible, and we have her on hospice now, just waiting. She was driving around the day before. I have called and talked into her ear, told her everything I wanted to say. I just want her to go to heaven now

I hate to think of her in a coma - she didn't want that.

At least I got to see her in July at my wedding. But I walk into my patient's rooms and see my grandmother instead, and it's hard to keep it together. I feel like I have closure but I don't at the same time. It was just so sudden and unexpected - she went to the yacht clubs and out to lunch every day and headed to the beach cabana in the afternoon. We just weren't ready yet.

So sorry so many of you are sick! I hate being sick. Raw apple cider vinegar and fresh lemon juice (2 tbsp each) with cinnamon (1 tsp) in 8 oz of water helps keep you ship shape. Whenever I feel a tickle coming on, I make sure to take extra.

I tried to pretend I hadn't seen them, but he fuckin came over to say hi and then stood there awkwardly staring. So of course his wife swoops in to introduce herself, like to make her presence known. Yeah I know you're there. Nice to meet you, chick he was dating while still sending me unsolicited and unwelcome D pics and who as recently as this year told me I was "the one that got away" and that fucking things up with me was the biggest mistake of his life. Despite my repeatedly telling him not to, DH came home from his business trip last night. I was sad to give up my time of sleeping starfish-style all week. He was gone doing sports stuff all day, so I worked on things for my friend's wedding and now I'm making ICB cupcakes, tuna-pasta salad, and kielbasa to hold us over for the rest of the weekend.

Well we had just finished a tasting at a distillery and I was getting a bourbon drink when he walked over. We also stopped at a brewery and just polished off two $100+ bottles of champagne. I'm good.

Went to my friend/ stylist this morning to get my hair dyed. We live in a small town so of course the two other women getting their hair done are my ex-SIL's grandma, who is telling me about her granddaughter's upcoming wedding. I'm like oh hey, she cheated on my brother while they were married, so I don't really care to hear about her wedding to the mistress (is there a word for a male mistress?). Then other woman in there was my childhood daycare provider, who now watches after my nephew (the baby of cheater ex-SIL) so she's asking me when I'm going to have babies that she can watch....um no. I need to move to a bigger town hahah

But my stylist friend mentioned how she has wanted to clean out her car for months but doesn't want to use a gas station vacuum and leave her baby sitting in his car seat next to the car, how weird. So I say "dude, my house!". So she came over to use my shop vac and I got to play with her adorable preemie- he's 4 months old and just hit like 8 pounds, he was born under 3 lbs!

Sorry to be the downer here. My weekend has been pretty shitty. Some of you saw my thread last night (http://forums.theknot.com/discussion/1038397/nwr-homeowners-association#latest). What I didn't mention is this - I have anxiety disorder. When the power went out on both Wednesday and Friday, I felt trapped. Last night I started to have an anxiety attack until my husband and neighbor got the gate open. Well, I couldn't sleep last night. I was wide awake until 2:30 am. The whole situation bit here'd me, but there was something I couldn't out my finger on until this morning.

When we got home from dinner, the HOA board yelled at ME. Not my husband, not the other neighbor that hot his tools. He yelled at ME. And my husband was in the car with me. H did nothing except roll up the window and drive to our house. This morning as I was folding laundry I realized that I was upset by this and the fact that my husband didn't stand up for me. Yeah, I know, I'm a strong woman and shouldn't need anyone to stand up for me, but there was something about how he just sat there silently that really upset me. H went to he neighbor and demanded an apology, came back, and told me that the neighbor was sorry. Yeah, no, I don't do gossip apologies. So I waked next door. The neighbors continued to accuse us of "vandalizing" the gate and didn't understand what the big deal was. They didn't get that anxiety attacks are pretty fucking scary.

Anyway, I'm still angry at H for just letting him yell at me like that yesterday. I'm even more mad that it took me telling him how to be a man for him to be one. So I took a Xanax and ended up sleeping 4 hours. I woke up and H was at the grocery store buying food. I just can't stand to look at him right now. So I'm at a local cafe. He doesn't know where I am, but knows that I am safe. I'll probably go home later. This is our first blow-out fight in marriage. This is the kind of shit nobody tells you about when you're picking out flowers and cake. This shit is real.
