I'm in a less-serious but similar boat this weekend. Fi made some irresponsible financial decisions this month that I only just realized, and at a not-so-great time. He wasn't actually hiding anything from me, it's more that I didn't notice and I wish he had just talked to me. We are definitely going to see a financial advisor next month.

I worked all morning. I had a nap when I got home then spent all afternoon working on a presentation for next week. It's so hot in my apartment that I just want to laze around and watch netflix.

I volunteered to work all weekend - ALL WEEKEND... Just to help out some co-workers go to this convention. I went the year before... So it's only fair. Unfortunately the only two that actually have key privileges is a girl who's 8 months pregnant and myself. SO in turn I pretty much work every shift. Boo.

So I haven't had a terrible day but I've been having the Angriness and a headache all day.

We got satellite TV set up this morning, though! And a new, fancy TV that my dad HAD TO HAVE OMG. I got to watch football that looked better than it does in the stadium. High quality HDTV looks weird to me.

I did not make enough chili. I thought I made a lot...

@sugargirl1019 I am so sorry you're dealing with that. What a shock to your family. I will send my prayers for you all to find comfort during this difficult time.

@huskypuppy14 Yikes, that is very scary. Thank goodness he is receiving the proper care. Sending prayers for healing!

@sarahbear31 Man, that is rough. I think it's good that you went and had some space for a while. I think this is part of what we commit to when we take the "or worse" vow. I also believe that fights that are resolved in a healthy way can actually be good for a relationship because they can teach about communication and your partner's wants and needs.

I do NOT understand how the HOA doesn't think it's a huge liability? What if someone dies because emergency services can't reach them? How are they not afraid of a lawsuit?! (I am frustrated on your behalf!)

@JCBride2015 That thought totally occurred to me when I first started sniffling last week! I know something bad is going around Atlanta, so I'm sure that's what I caught. I am on the mend now, though, yay! Hope you're working on feeling better too!

Sarah, I'm sorry your husband didn't stick up for you. I hope you can sit down with him and explain what you need from him going forward with that kind of thing. As for your HOA, that is just nuts all around. They are being ridiculous from start to finish.

Sugargirl1019 so sorry to hear about your grandmother! That sounds like an absolutely awful way to lose someone so close to you and so active. My husband lost his grandfather in a similar way this winter. He was a spry 99 year old, 2 weeks from his 100th birthday who still walked about a mile every day and took the bus downtown to his shop where he tinkered with things. One day here, the next day he died during surgery to repair a broken hip. Even though he was 99 it was still completely unexpected.

I wish your family all the best and hope your grandmother goes peacefully.

@sarahbear31 sorry to hear about your weekend too. It sounds like a misunderstanding that hopefully will be easy to patch over, but your husband should have stuck up for you! Once the HOA head calms down hopefully you can have a rational conversation and set things straight. Also- that is totally unacceptable for an HOA president to do! He should lose his post over it.

So yesterday afternoon, DH came to me while I was cleaning a bathroom and asked if he was in trouble. I said no and asked why. He said because I've been cleaning all day and he's done nothing so he thought I'd be mad at him. I told him he was sick and he gets a pass from helping out when he's sick and that I wasn't mad at him for not helping out.

When I woke up this morning he was doing the dishes and had everything out for breakfast

He's feeling better too which is great.

Thanks, ladies. I appreciate it. I got home last night and talked with DH for quite a while. He knows that he messed up and he rectified things. I talked to our HOA president yesterday and she said it never occurred to her to leave the gate open while it wasn't operational. *sigh*. She said that she is frustrated because the gate company isn't responding to her. I told her that we had been researching county ordinances and would let her know what we find so she has some leverage to get them to get it fixed. She also said that they will not be fining us for "vandalism". To which I said "good, because I already contacted my attorney. " (which I really had, that wasnt a bluff).

I had a good night's sleep (in our bed, with DH by my side) thanks to Unisom. And we are just hoping for a Texans win now.

Thanks for the kind words and support. I'll keep y'all posted on the gate situation.

Thanks. She's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. I'm really curious to find out just how many ordinances they are breaking by having this issue knowingly.

Thank you all for your thoughts, Grandma passed away today. I now have another special angel watching over me. My dad said he left thus morning, went to church, came back and the furniture was moved and the "stuck" closet door was open. He thinks my grandfather was looking for her coming to walk her home (heaven). Looks like they're back together

H is ok. It just sucks being cooped up in the hospital. It looks like they are going to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday to do any procedure. It's a whole lot of waiting around.

I am currently drinking a big ass drink and attempting to clean pee out of the carpet, think that pretty much says how my weekend is going haha. Also kind of aggravated at BF and he hurt my feelings this morning and haven't seen him yet since then so still a little hurt. And the little girl is seriously testing my patience. But yay for big ass drinks.

We picked up my new car on Friday. It's a Honda Civic and it's equipped with all sorts of things I didn't know where in cars (Bluetooth phone, backup camera, etc..)

My birthday was on Saturday so we went to brunch, shopping and then saw a movie. It was a humid 90 degrees so I wanted to stay in the ac.

Sunday was suppose to be my sleep in day but I had a massive amount of laundry and cleaning to do so I was up early. Sigh.. On the bright side, there was a School House rock special last night. I got to relive my childhood again watching it.

Sugargirl - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. My grandma passed away the month before our wedding, she was 98. It is NEVER easy to lose someone you love regardless of how long or short their life was. I'm sorry that you are having to go through this.
