unpopular opinions

add your own.

i went into a white house/black market recently. that place scales toward "trashy" -- there are a lot of "daytime lace" items in there, and i think "daytime" is incompatible with "lace." also a lot of animal prints, which is the general choice of print for wt.

looking down at some of these questions like "i need help picking a wedding date" makes me think there needs to be some kind of test for people to get married.

there is this girl here who is so basic, she's like basic (tm). she can't stop talking about a pumpkin spice something she ate this weekend and i want to hit her in the face with a brick. people who are this un-self aware need some kind of intervention. of course, it's probably too late for most of the people on this website, who are all interesting/twittering/instagramming all the same crap about their wedding and thinking it's all unique. gah, people.

Re: unpopular opinions

  • I've missed you, Hmonkey
  • I've missed you, Hmonkey
    That's not unpopular
  • Risking being basic (tm) here, but I agree with Dixie.
  • I haven't a freaking clue what this thread is about.
  • Maybe it was the first time in years since she has been able to have a pumpkin flavoured whatever, for some crazy reason?  Otherwise I don't see what she wouldn't stop talking about something that could be so common.  I mean, you can buy canned pumpkin year round and bake with it, can't you?

The wedding test should be reading select wedding magazines and watching certain wedding movies and picking out the bullshit from the reality.

My opinion is that Kate Middleton is a fame and fortune seeker, and I don't give a shit about her new spawn.

Apple should stick to making phones.

I hate zooey dechancel for her fake quirky gimmick. She's a bad actress and I don't like her face.

    Mayo is disgusting forever.

Ketchup is disgusting and shame to all the other condiments.

Hummers are for douches who want to prove that they aren't as middle class as everyone thinks they are.

    1.  I know everyone thinks this, but seriously, when they had all of those "Prince George turns 1!" magazine covers, DH and I were like "He looks like a troll compared to DS."  I mean cute enough, yes, but not DS-level cute.

    2.  Around here, the only people still driving Hummers are the truly clueless and/or are unable to find someone dumber to buy it off them.  It's practically like walking around in acid-washed jeans (which have not, incidentally, returned here yet, thank goodness).
  • On the zoey daschenell hate...at our bach. party we played the drinking game that was in the show 'the new girl'
    http://www.trueamericanrules.com/

It was incredibly amusing...and no one died.  And there was wine and whiskey.  And we're lucky no one died because there was much falling on floors.

  • "pumpkin spice" [anything] is disgusting.
  • The PSL craze is insane.  I've had one PSL in my life and it sucked.   Also, I pretty much hate everything pumpkin.

WHBM has never been my thing, but I agree that their taste level has been sinking.

I loved Zooey in "Almost Famous" ("FECK YOU!" LOL).  I don't remember having any feelings one way or the other in anything I've seen her in since that movie and I don't watch New Girl.

I don't mind the Royals.  They *seem* normal and that they just do the press because they have to because it's their only job being what they are. The baby watch shit is and has been annoying.

  • I love the Pumpkin Noosa x forever.  And I like real pumpkin---not the over sweetened questionable stuff.  But then again---i suppose it all falls into that category, eh?

I like Kate Middleton---especially if she's a famewhore---because she's got a majority of the people hosed into believing she's some magical "girl next door" like the Katie Holmes of the royal set.  Weird facial expressions to boot.

    I like "to boot".

My new boots are awesome, even though it sounds like I've got spurs and am ready to lasso something at any moment.  Take that HMO!

Apparently I'm a lemming because I can't think of anything unpopular right now.
  • I like pumpkin stuff which is apparently unpopular.
  • Here's a good one for the makeup geekoids:

-I do not like MAC makeup.  Nope.  Not anymore. (FWP with WGP on top)

  • prince george and north west were both on the cover of a magazine i saw at the grocery store, and it was something like "billionaire babies" or some nonsense like that. i was so sad -- one kid will become king one day, and the other will probably be in rehab by 16.

sometimes i wish we could just apologize and have the uk take us back -- then we could watch "sherlock" on the uk schedule, there would be awesome names like "cornelius" instead of "laikynn" or "titan" and have colorful currency.

but then i think about adding a whole different level of white people to the mix and gah.

Kate doesn't really bother me.  It's not like any of the royals are famous for being anything other than royal and they're just part of Anglo-love at this point.  I was a little *head tilt* at second baby so soon, but then I realized they've been together for a helluva long time and they're both in their 30s, so maybe they want their damn family already.

I'm giving in on Mac, just b/c I want a lipstick tube with Rocky Horror Picture Show logo on it.

    My unpopular:

Your religion doesn't give you any rights.

ETA:  I don't trust police officers.
  • Your ETA VarunaTT:  I dont' think that's the unpopular opinion sadly.

I love MAC red lipsticks, I just think there are better out there.  And for cheaper, and they aren't LIMITED EDITION!!!!!1!!!!
  • Missouri is beginning to implode.  There's a lot going on in this state.  I hope it reflects into our upcoming elections.
  • I refuse to buy MAC.

I like Kate Middleton. I think she's pretty and baby George is cute.

I like pumpkin flavored things. I don't drink coffee so I'm not part of the PSL love Fest though.

I am basically all unpopular opinions I think. I'll admit to being a Judgemental bitch.
  • Kate baby #2. Have you see British tabloids? Worse than your worst auntie about "when's the little one???" And the baby watch....gah!

Mayo = sandwich skeet. Tartar sauce = skeet with a VD

I2i with V on the cops. Especially the Blue Wall canonizing.

  • I do love pumpkin spice everything.  But I have an unhealthy addiction to cinnamon and nutmeng.

I think I have failed in avoiding the illness being passed around.
  • My unpopular:

I hate to see really new babies in stores and out in the public. I just feel like all of the these people are petri dishes of funk out here...ewwww. I know on the inside I'm 65, but keep them at home.

  • i don't understand the women who can physically do this. for the first two months, i was too high on percocet to leave the house, yo.

  • one of my first tier friends is separating from her husband. i know they have had months to deal with the breakup of their marriage, and the separation is going really amicably, but i am just devastated. after i got off the phone with her, i cried.

  • Necessity makes you do crazy things.  Max was at the grocery store and doing preschool pickup and going to the mall early on because, well, what choice is there?

  • I never felt germs were a threat when DefConn was itty-bitty because he was in his carrier and we always wiped down carts and kept people away.

I hated taking him to the store because being in public alone with him terrified me.  I had a bit of PP anxiety.

Sorry about your friend, Hmo.  Even though it's going as well as it can for her, I can't imagine that it's easy in any way, shape, or form.
  • Yes, divorce is hard on friendships too. I hate to lose someone.

That was my thought, as well.  Plus, some days I welcomed the chance to get out for a little bit.
  • It really annoys me that Kate Middleton gets out of doing 'royal work' all the time.  You do a few appearances, you get knocked up, then you don't have to do work.  Then when your kid is old enough you get knocked up again etc etc.  I don't even envy her life, I just get mad that she's abusing some system somewhere of laziness....
