Hey people!!!!

We made it almost halfway through the workweek! How is your morning going so far?

I had a nightmare(?) last night that I went to some bar and ran into my college roommate. Our friendship ended on really bad terms with both of us pretty much hating eachother, and when I ran into her in my dream she looked absolutely FURIOUS and.... she was naked. Because it was a clothing-optional bar. I met up with some friends and then was telling a bartender about my roommate and mentioned that she was just sitting at the other side of the bar, naked, and the bartender said "Well yeah, you don't need to wear clothes here." and started removing all of her clothes. So yeah, I had a dream about several naked women, one of which despised me. I'm not quite sure what that means.

Tonight I'm supposed to go into the city to meet up with @Swazzle to see "This is Where I Leave You", unless she has new house stuff to do?

48 hours from now it will be Friday, I'm just hanging tight to that fact...

@Hummingbird125 -I always dream about myself being naked which I HATE because I feel like no matter what I do in my dreams...I can't seem to find clothes lol. I also Hate dreaming about past friends that I had awkward relationships with...that always puts me in a strange mood the rest of the day.

This morning is ok. Last night I basically wanted to cry because I realized I had soooo much on my plate to do the rest of this week and I didn't know how I was going to finish all of it. I felt really bad because H hadn't taken his clothes out of the dryer and they were laying all over the laundry room and he hadn't cleaned up his desk so I got upstairs and yelled down at him, "WHY is your stuff everywhere?!?" and then he stopped watching SOA to go pick up everything. I felt really bad afterwards because I knew it was coming from my stress of everything I had to do this week and I apologized : ( I hate being like that.

Today H has to work allllll day so I'm going to go home at lunch time and work from home the rest of the day. I need to go grocery shopping tonight after crossfit and pick up some things from my parent's house. Hopefully some things I ordered from Etsy arrive today so I can finish putting things together for this weekend.

I have had several dreams I'm naked in public and all of a sudden realize I'm naked and become embarrassed and try to cover myself. I hate those dreams..especially when I'm at work in the dream!

Today I have an appointment with my therapist and then I'll probably go home and go for a walk. It's been nice and cool here.

I don't see FI much anyways but Thursday night when he gets out of work he's going to Montreal with a group of guys from work and he's not coming back until Sunday night. I'll be triple locking the doors to our apartment at night

I had a dream last night about my new job... I guess I'm still feeling anxiety about it! I dreamed that the center closed and I stayed home but since I'm not a fed anymore, I wasn't allowed to stay home so I was freaking out about it. and then I dreamed our contract got sold (still have 2 years left on the contract) and I was transferred to a PiYo contract and was pumped about it.

anyway! I worked 10 hours yesterday, came home and studied until H got home. he heated me up some soup to make sure I ate dinner and I studied some more. did Insanity Recovery. cleaned up the kitchen. that's all I remember.

we got our Phillips Sunrise alarm, so last night we did the sunset option (which was cool) and then this morning, we both woke up before the alarm went off. H loves the alarm clock. it was a little bright for me, so I'm going to dim the intensity a tiny bit. but he was up before me (NEVER HAPPENS) and out the door 5 minutes earlier than usual. so far, we like this alarm/lamp!

@hummingbird125 - We're still on for our date even though I'm having a really hard time accepting that we aren't going to be watching BB live tonight. Unless you want to stay home to do that. I'm good with either decision

I am on cloud nine today. Also, on my way into work, I ran into my neighbor and they recently rescued a blue-nose pittie puppy who gave me puppy kisses with her puppy breath and was the cutest thing ever!

My back is killing me this morning I must have slept on it wrong or something but ouch. I just want to go to sleep on a heating pad right now. This week feels like it's dragging and that's a bit annoying. I made a great dinner recipe last night H even liked it. I made General's Tso's chicken for him and General Tso's tofu for me. I really enjoyed it. Tonight I have to go to the theater to supervise a tech rehearsal for the show I'm co-producing. I'll feel much better when it opens on Friday. Also my dance classes start tonight, but I'm missing it since I have to be at the theater tonight. Boo.

@southernpeach89 - Lucy hasn't been a (real) puppy in a while, I miss it so much. Although, they were saying how much trouble they're having with training her and I definitely do NOT miss that.

I feel surprisingly rested today, despite getting to bed late and waking up in the middle of the night with a crazy stuffed up nose. So I'm going to try to plow through some work this morning and be all productive and stuff.

@CocoBellaF - Keep us posted on the lamp, I thought about getting on last year but just didn't have the funds. I have so much trouble getting up when it's dark out, so something like that might really help.

@Swazzle - I want to snuggle your neighbour's puppy. Actually, I want to snuggle everyone's puppies, they're all adorable.

@hummingbird125 - At least she wasn't naked at your wedding?

Last night I worked a volleyball match at a school across town, and their AC was broken, so it was like a million degrees in the gym. Which sucked, because it was GORGEOUS outside. I went home, hung out with FI for a bit, made myself an egg sandwich for a late dinner, and then was in bed by 10pm.

I didn't sleep great, either, but I'm feeling okay so far this morning. I have to get some work done today - I have a couple covers to design for our football programs, and I have to put some work into our new website that I've been neglecting.

Tonight FI is making a new salmon recipe, and I'm a litter nervous because I don't LOVE salmon, so I hope it's good!

@GoldenPenguin -Well apparently, yesterday morning H failed to tell me that he had a solid poop lol. So I guess that's improvement but the rest of the day it was pretty runny. This morning he went THREE times...so maybe that's just him getting rid of it all. I'm heading home at lunch time to see how this one will turn out. He is acting completely normal...I just think he ate something that really didn't settle.

@Hummingbird125 I have dreams all the time where I'm naked and there's some strange reason why clothes can't be found quickly, but I've never had a dream that other people are naked while I'm fully clothed. Very strange! No idea what that could mean.

@southernpeach89 I hate it when stress gets the best of me like that too, but I'm sure your H understands!

@swazzle I have puppy fever so bad right now. They are just so sweet and loving and adorable!

I'm much more awake today than I was yesterday, but work is sloooooow. Today is supposed to be our last day of 100 degree weather for a while, so I'm really excited for the cold front coming through tomorrow. Yay for fall!

I got a bunch of clothes in yesterday that I ordered over Labor Day weekend, and meh. I got the two dresses from ModCloth that I ordered as potential engagement photo attire, but I'm on the fence about them. One seemed slightly too big and made me feel really hippy, and the other was slightly too small but really cute. I'm fairly certain I'll be able to lose an inch or two in my waist for the smaller one to fit by the time November rolls around, but I don't know how flattering the dress is anyway. FI and my MOH thought they were both really cute and want me to keep both, but I dunno. Maybe I should hit the gym a few more times and try them both on again next week.

Our bonuses for work are supposed to be ready sometime this week. We haven't had any updates on when they'll be ready though or how much each of us will receive, so I'm a little frustrated. I owe myself (well, my wedding savings fund) $1000 because I took money out to pay for allergy shots, and then the rest I plan to put towards credit card debt. I need to sit down and talk financials with FI soon too... At the end of February I'll have my half of the wedding in savings, and I need to talk with him about instead of continuing to save, if I can use the money I would have saved for student loans. He's paying off his car this month, so he'll be 100% debt free by the end of the month (he's 25, so this is seriously amazing. I'm so proud of him!). He's been saying that once we combine finances we'll live off his salary and use mine for my debt repayment (my student loans are $65k), but I'd like to go ahead and start chipping away at them. But we shall see. He may want me to keep saving for the wedding in case something unexpected comes up or we go over budget. Oi, money.

That's all that's on my mind today. I love all of the exciting things going on here!

@eilis1228 MODCLOTH FOREVER! What did you buy from them?

Today is mediocre. I was feeling like shit yesterday, so I'm behind in my projects, which means I'm playing that game where I try to avoid my PI all day. Wish me luck.

I have two sections to teach today. I'm still figuring out who's in which section because we've got almost 130 people in the class, and they're all like, "Well, it's totes okay if I just show up to whichever section, right?" Very irritating.

@Swazzle Puppy breath is the best!

Today I'm just feeling crabby but I think my TOTM is in a few days...so that probably explains my bad attitude. When I get home I'm trying a new recipe - spaghetti squash lasagna boats so I guess we'll see how it turns out. It looks time consuming but sounds tasty plus I have a bunch of fresh herbs growing in our garden that I get to use!

I got the Luck Be A Lady dress in Violet... HERE and HERE are pics from yesterday. I also got the Savvy Scholar dress... HERE and HERE are pics from yesterday when I tried it on. The Luck Be a Lady makes me feel wide/hippy/frumpy, but I'm also not used to wearing that sort of silhouette. I think it's because the waist is a little low... it's also bunching on the top around my boobs, so I may need to have it altered. The Savvy Scholar is slightly too small, but I can easily fit into it by November. Most people like both dresses but think the purple will be better for pictures because it's a solid. I'm torn.

@eilis1228 I still love that plaid dress, but I think they both look great on you!

My BFF's wedding is coming up at the end of the month, and it turns out her DJ is not as established as she was led to believe. Because of this, he has asked her to provide him a list of songs that she wants played at the reception so he can get them before the wedding. She's got enough stuff on her plate with the wedding, so I volunteered to put together a playlist of song suggestions for her to veto or approve that she can give to her DJ. So if anybody has any good dancey reception songs, let me know!

@bookishgiraffes Thanks, I like that one a lot too. I'm being told that it may not photograph well due to the pattern, but we'll see... I'm so indecisive that I went ahead and ordered two more dresses from ModCloth. I'll just return the ones I don't like once I've made a decision.

@LivLeighton Sometimes when I'm stressed and just need some me time I go in to our master bathroom and turn it in to a "spa". I light candles, pull out some of the body scrubs and stuff I rarely use and run a bath and do girly things like paint my toe nails and do sugar scrubs and junk on my legs. Oh and I bring a bottle of wine too, because wine is required.

@Eilis1228 - Both are adorable but Savvy is my favorite! You are very pretty and have a figure to die for so flaunt it, lady.

@LivLeighton - I'm struggling with feeling down lately too. My go-to (wine and a bath) are not happening...well, the wine is but no bath where we are currently staying. H and I are trying meditation this week so I can let you know how that goes. I know that requires some time but most centers will have free/low cost rates.

I woke up with a headache this morning that is not going away. I'm also on my third cup of coffee (probably not helping the headache I know) because I'm exhausted again today. I need to get back into a regular sleeping habit. I cannot stay up till 2 am and get up at 8.

I'm still looking for a gym. There's a 24 hour fitness really close to my apartment that has a pool and I feel like I should just go with them but I don't want to pay $35 a month just to use the pool. There's also a Bally Total Fitness that's close and cheaper but I didn't have a good experience with them last time I had a membership there. So I'm just procrastinating on making any sort of decision.

@LivLeighton - I do yoga at night before I go to bed to de-stress. I just do however much I have time for so some nights it's 10 minutes some nights it's the whole 45 minute video. It does help me relax and shut my brain down for the night.

@Phira - I have to admit in college I just went to whatever section I felt like going to that day.

@eilis1228 I have the Luck Be a Lady dress in green, and I love it, but I have a very different figure. I think the plaid dress has a much more flattering silhouette for you. I have a super long torso and a low (ish) natural waist, so I need the lower waistline on a dress (my wedding dress has a drop waist). Purple is easier to match with stuff than plaid is, but I think in terms of which one you'll feel happier in, it sounds like the plaid one.

@livleighton When I'm really stressed, I'll do a little self mani-pedi (I'm not so good with scrubs and trimming cuticles, but I wash, lotion, trim, etc and then paint), or I'll treat myself to something I don't usually bake or buy, like brownies.

@eilis1228 I agree the plaid dress is much more flattering on you- and it doesn't look too small - I know you may feel it is but just wanted to throw that out there that it doesn't look that way. I think the pattern would be fine I just would have your FI wear a solid color so there is not too much going on.

@ellis1228--I LOVE the plaid dress. Both of those dresses look super cute, but that one's my favorite. And I don't think it would be too hard to match

Today is a crazy long day. I left the house at 8:30 this morning and won't get home until 10:30 tonight. I'm currently hiding in the library, trying to get through a source for my dissertation to keep the momentum going. Tonight I have yoga and ballet classes, which I'm looking forward to because I'm having sort of a rough week. I haven't heard from Mr. Historian in a week, and that's usually about the time I start to get stressed about where he might be. (He's an analyst and a MidEast specialist, so he travels all over and sometimes falls out of communication range entirely.) I'm frustrated, too, because I hate his job, but he likes it and is really good at it, and I want to support him as much as I can. Blargh.

Maybe an extra cup of coffee will help things this afternoon.

@eilis1228 - I think both dresses look really nice on you, but I can sort of see what you mean about the purple one...it does NOT make you look frumpy, it's just a different silhouette. I don't think the plaid one would be bad in photos at all, especially if your FI wears a solid colour, but if you aren't 100% sure wait until the other ones arrive.

@phira I wanted the green one, but they didn't have it in my size. Sadness. It's such a cute dress, and I really wanted to love it. I have a tiny tiny torso with long legs (well, for my size I guess). I definitely need a more fitted, higher waist with less poof, which I think is why the plaid makes me feel/look better. I ordered THIS one and THIS one today just to see if I find one I like more. I also ordered an olive green 3/4 sleeve jacket and a white boatneck shirt for the more casual pics. I know I'm overly obsessing, but these are pics I'll have on display forever.

@bookishgiraffes I think the plaid one is my favorite too. It's just slightly too small, but that shouldn't be an issue in a few weeks.

@lavenderfields13 It's just barely too small. In better lighting you can see the fabric is pulling a bit at the seams on my boobs and tummy, and getting the zipper to go all the way up was a struggle. If I can lose an inch or so, it should fit perfectly.

I appreciate your feedback though! I'm planning on wearing it in a bookstore, and like you said, if FI wears a solid color, it should be OK. I ordered a couple of other dresses today just to be sure, but right now the plaid one is my favorite.

@CocoBellaF Thank you! It's funny because a lot of people are telling me to go with the purple IRL, but all of you are voting for the plaid.

@lmcooper86 Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I guess frumpy isn't the right word, but it definitely isn't as flattering (in my opinion). For some reason everyone IRL seems to love it, but I'm meh about it.

@eilis1228 I wish I could see the pictures you shared in the links but I guess work blocks imgur stuff darn it! Anyway, one of my friends has the second dress you shared from Modcloth in the houndstooth print and it looks great on her! She also has long legs for her height and a tiny torso and it fits her well! Personally style wise though I really love the emerald one more. Also, I think your casual outfit idea sounds great! I seriously obsessed over my outfit choices for my e-pics. I bought three or four different dresses and didn't make a final decision until literally the night before so everything you are going through right now is completely normal!

Well I just took Maddux to the vet because his diarrhea was become uncontrollable and the vet said he ate something funky so now I have Maddux on some medication for the bacteria and a probiotic to build back up his natural intestinal bacteria. WAhhh....I hate having a sick puppy. On a good note...I guess? He gained 10 lbs since last month so Maddux is now in the 50 lb puppy club. 5 months at 50 lbs with a whole lot of diarrhea.

@eilis1228 - I really like the second purple one that you just ordered! I feel like the colour of the Luck dress was really nice on you, so maybe the new purple one will feel like a better fit.
