Hi all!
Fiancé and I have been engaged for a year and have just decided on a date! We haven't done one lick of planning yet. However, we decided to have a destination wedding, in Poconos, Pa. It's equidistant from my family and friends in the Philadelphia area and his family in the NYC metro area. I love, love, LOVE the idea of an outdoor winter wedding. Pretty white snow, rosy cheeks and gorgeous views of the mountainside. So, here's the kicker. It just screams for a rustic theme right?? But I'm totally not into it. What we would like would be a tropical wedding theme. Is that weird to have both? Winter and tropical? It would be escaping the winter cold to the hot tropics. Strange? Totally awesome?
