Cabo Destroyed?

Does anyone have a wedding coming up in Cabo? Have you heard any news? My wedding is in December and i'm wondering if i need to cancel.

It is best to contact the property you are staying at directly, or via your travel agent if you booked with one. Keep in mind you may not get a solid response for a bit as they are still assessing things.

Thank you for this! Our wedding was scheduled to be at the Westin. No one is answering because they don't have working phone lines yet.

My wedding is Dec 4 and i feel like Oct 31 is cutting it really close!

We are attending my brothers wedding on Oct 18th at Zoetry in cabo, we are suppose to be staying at dreams for the week. They said both have no structural damage, just cosmetic and will reopen by sept 25th. She is determined to have the wedding in cabo but my brother is trying to talk her out of it now, or to wait until dec/jan so they have time to recover because "its messed up pretty bad and there isn't much beach left" but she is determined to get married oct 18th in cabo. I think she might be Uber disappointment if she pushes it.

Her mother is the head product buyer at an airline here in canada and she is in-charge of Mexico, she is heading to cabo on monday to determine what is going on for the clients, I could see if I can get some info from her and report back here.

I "like" the Pueblo Bonito resorts on FB and according to them they are suggesting that anyone coming in late sept/early october cancel or reschedule their trips until late october if possible. They are currently evacuating hundreds of people now so Dec should be fine!

Oh man! We are suppose to arrive on oct 16th and Zoetry and Dreams just posted:

Information regarding hotel status: Based on initial reports with respect to clean-up time necessary, via this notification, we are extending the reopening date of Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa to October 15th.

Hmmm I wonder what they will do... Reschedule the wedding or hope to god they don't push it back again...

Hi All,

donyad1133 Just wanted to update most hotels are all ready bumping re opening dates in to mid nov and early dec. I pulled up your hotel and they recently posted that will not be open by Oct 31st anymore but will post a new date soon. I'd watch it closely.

As for us, my brothers FI works for a major airline so she was aware from inside information about there hotel not being open on oct 15th and they have since booked and moved the whole wedding to Now Puerto Vallarta. Today the hotel they were going to stay at announced they would be closed until at least Nov 15th.

I hope your wedding works out for you Donyad1133!

I also saw online today that Secrets, Dreams, and Zoetry pushed their opening date to Nov 15th.
