Do not play list

Re: Do not play list

  • FI and I don't have a DJ and came up with our own playlist for the reception. He didn't veto any of my music (including All About That Bass, even though he hates it), but I did veto a lot of his. He wanted Phish and Primus on there and I had to tell him that no one but him and maybe two other people at our wedding would even like hearing those bands. He had a couple of other weird choices and I nixed those as well, mainly because they weren't really reception-type songs (couldn't really dance to them). We like country and he did put in a couple of old-school 90s country songs because a lot of our older crowd will get a kick out of it.

Oh there will be Phish played at our wedding.  Probably more during cocktail hour/dinner, but I will have it!

FI told me the other day that he added a couple more songs to our playlist...I would bet our entire wedding budget that he snuck at least one Phish song on there. I could handle ONE Phish song (as long as it's not a 20 minute-long song) but no Primus. That is where I draw the line.
  • I'm not even finished reading but:

Blurred. Fucking. Lines. I hate that song. No talking about rape at my wedding.

DH insisted on no Single Ladies. And then the flower girl requested it! And she cried when the DJ told her he didn't have it!

  • No country. No rap. No Blurred Lines. No All of Me (so sick of it). ABSOLUTELY NO BLACK-EYED PEAS.
